  1. Love this classic reference. Go Rocky!!
  2. "Soon" can mean a lot of different timelines. One month? One year? Never? I'm going to go with "soon" = 2024 and USF will be invited this fall to join the ACC in 2026.
  3. Hines is playing great. He's also an awesome USF guy that deserves Bulls fans' full respect.
  4. I just don't want the NET to be the main reason we get left out of the NCAA tournament this year. The team has obviously and measurably "leveled up", so of course we would very likely beat those early teams now. Unfortunately, the NET does not seem to factor in something as human as that. For me, the body of work since December 9th should far outweigh those early losses, but it (the NET) is what it is (extremely flawed imo). Hopefully, in a few hours (after the SMU game) all of this still applies.
  5. I'm more curious to see if UNT will still have a better NET than ours.
  6. Agree ... I wonder what our NET would be if we were 25 - 0 right now? Probably still only in the 50s.
  7. Has anyone ever stormed the court after beating USF? Purely an academic question of course.
  8. Including a nice 3 pointer. The ESPN guys were very complimentary of her overall game and veteran experience.
  9. To be fair, this thread is now approaching 4,000 pages and is built on a foundation of crazy talk. Please carry on with posting all rumors, especially the ones that have USF going to the ACC.
  10. I never said anything about the level of our opponents. I can see why you misunderstood though. Go Bulls!
  11. My favorite memories as a USF fan are those where our teams have won at the level they were at. I would love to compete against bigger names, obviously. I think we all would. Until that is a reality instead of just wishful thinking, I'm going to enjoy the hell out of our current success, no matter who we are playing against.
  12. The kid was running away from the cops like a rabbit. He was pretty fast, but the cops that caught him were just a bit faster. I don't know the full story. I just saw him running away on the court with a cop in full foot pursuit. Too bad it came to that, but that fan will have a great story to tell one day I guess. The cowboy hat USF student fan smartly scooted back into the stands right after the one guy was taken to the ground. All of that stuff is just meaningless noise because we got that all-important W!
  13. Hopefully, our good buddies at WVU would say they will only accept the ACC invitation if they are part of a package deal with USF.
  14. It has been a very long time since I've had to plan for attending a sellout home game. Any thoughts on a good arrival time?
  15. Not to jinx anything, but Wichita looks as bad as their record indicates (or worse).
  16. I'm starting to feel like this thread needs to meet up in person and have a beer or bourbon (or two).
  17. Here's the bad guys' thread from last night. A lot of them pretty much blamed the officials for their team's choke job. I also thought the refs were not great and made (or missed) bad calls against USF. Fans are funny... Oh, and "Scoreboard!!!" https://forums.ninernation.net/t/2023-24-49er-mbb-game-22-charlotte-usf-2-6-9-00-pm-espn2/37357/273
  18. Loved seeing the team join up with the students at the end. Most of the crowd had already filed out, so here is what it looked like.
  19. Loved both of those plays, but my favorite moment was Igor's air ball three at the end.
  20. Seemed like a lot more. Maybe the glow sticks made the crowd seem bigger. What an awesome game to be at. So glad to see those cocky smiles wiped off the Charlotte players' faces.
  21. The chemistry was flowing and Coach didn't want to mess that up I guess. I felt bad for Pryor because he definitely seemed pretty down. I'm sure he wanted to play great on national TV in front of the best home crowd yet. I'm glad Coach was smart enough to go with the guys that won the game though. Pryor will be back next game better than ever.
  22. I wish I had my 37 year old self to run in my weekly full court hoops games every Sunday morning. Just wait until you are in your 50s... Now I'm wondering what the average age of TBP membership is. My guess is somewhere around 55.
