  1. They also put us in the same category as Houston, Memphis, and Navy when talking about Good teams to watch in the American.
  2. Every highpowered offense we've come into contact with has been shutdown. They are not the exception, Navy was.
  3. I know you never want to overlook an opponent but they look God-awful and they're broken. Golden showers for real...
  4. I wanted to take a look at our last opponent of the regular season. The thought that they can magically compete with us because we are rivals is hard to envision. I haven't seen a team this bad... Ever. Even in our worst seasons we had something going for us... With them I see nothing.
  5. I agree with everything above. I'll go even further and say that if he would have opened up the pay book earlier it could have destroyed their confidence in the system and killed the season before it started.
  6. Ah, I fall into the category of newer fan I suppose. I was in school and went to all the games, being in the band, but didn't pay nearly as much attention then as I do now. I remember being disappointed and wondering if my team was drunk during the bowl game because of how bad the score was. Thank you for the quick history lesson.
  7. I hear your logic and appreciate your realism. FAMU-horrible, SU-Winning record when we played, UConn-Making a push for respectability, ECU-Decent team coming up short, SMU-High powered team with no defense, and Temple- very strong team but got out played. My reasoning comes from the flashs of greatness I've seen in our wins and losses. We are better than we were when we played, Memphis, Navy (we weren't healthy), and FSU. We were respectable in all of those games when we didn't play at this level. So I am overly optimistic because I feel like we haven't lucked into any wins, we've earned them. I have no reason to not be optimistic seeming as we haven't played a bad game since Maryland IMO.
  8. I appreciate your response. That makes perfect sense and I as well as you am excited to see where this year ends. I'm very proud of the work they've done. Its awesome seeing them get some recognition when their most vocal supporters were doubting them the whole way. It's nice for them to have this within the realm of possibility. I hope they come out hungry and beat Cincy like they stole something, leaving it all on the field.
  9. See my argument against that is our 2007 team was opportunistic. They rose when they were the underdog. As soon as they were expected to win they plummeted. It was amazing as a fan but that year with the polls was insanely rare and it also made us seem inflated and overrated. I loved it but this team is going and hungry and could be together shaking up the AAC for 2 more years.
  10. I see people going on about the glory days but no one has answered my question. Why would the 2007 Bulls team btw considered the greatest Bull team of all time when they fizzled when it counted. We won when no one expected us to, while those above us lost. Then when we were expected to win we went in a losing streak if memory serves me correctly. Hypothetically, this team could finished ranked if the stars align. Wouldn't that make them the greatest team of all time thus far? I guess my question is why if the stars align won't this team be the G.O. A.T.?
  11. Are they going to call the same number they did when they lost to us in one of our worst years?
  12. I'm a little confused by the lovefest of the old Big East teams abs their respective power in comparison to the AAC and the strength of schedule. Where are any of those teams now? They make better money but are they still strong, making national headlines, top 25? To someone who admittedly doesn't know any better, I feel like we attach our feelings for the old moments to justify why our old Bulls weren't as special as this team could be. Someone help me understand how it why we believe West Virginia, Louisville, Miami and the likes are better than Memphis, Navy, Houston, and Temple. What justifies that opinion?
  13. Sometimes I wish we had a time machine to see some of these head to head coaching and team match ups. I didn't get here until 2006 but I see a team that's full on both sides of the ball. There isn't one person carrying us on either side, I personally don't remember seeing any team of ours this balanced and young in the past. There's a reason there's a love fest for Grothe, he carried the team on the offensive side. BJ did much of the same. Has there ever been a team this well balanced in USF's history? I would love to see them match up, especially since I never remember a team of ours during towards the end, we normally limped into the end of the season.
  14. I mean they are both BULLS and will be forever appreciated. No one qualifies records in the record book. Records are made to be broken and I hope Quinton destroys those before him. I hope all Bulls feel the same way for any of our future starters.
  15. It confuses me how those who are trying to keep us grounded take #22 in the nation 8-1 temple and turn them into a "winning team"...
  16. But His QBR says he can't lose. I love QFs though and if he keeps baking AW will see the field in garbage time.
  17. Why is there reservation with your acknowledgment of CWT doing a good job. I'm sure the OP wasn't referring to the win or bust crowd. I feel it's understood that he's addressing the "CWT please walk home" crowd. A winning season is always mandatory, but not always guaranteed. He has taken a dumpster fire and created a football team worth watching. I like to answer your question with a question, how will we feel if we win the conference this year or next? How will we feel if we are a top 25 team next year? Everything isn't gloom and doom. I just can't stand how everything, even wins over a very good, not just winning record but a top 25 team is celebrated with reservation. Some were being spoiled "I want it yesterday" fans and have built up a hate for CWT that was always unjustified. Admit you were wrong (privately) and celebrate with us. This is the house CWT built, get on the bus and ride back home!
  18. Did you all notice how the big hits over the middle messed with the receivers psyche towards the end? Man if we catch that ball, we get the horns...
  19. I hear you and in all honesty I didn't see anything different with the play calling. I truly think that the difference in the score was execution. Although CWT gets made fun of for saying it, I really think execution is what's been missing. That was a team win, and Lord knows it feels good for us all.
  20. Man I'm naturally optimistic, (And get made fun of for it ) but threads like this make it all worth it. I'm glad we can celebrate the team together. Drink the kool-aid it's Bulls' green and delicious.
  21. How quickly the Willie Taggart and Quinton Flowers' haters disappear.
  22. Shame on you for Not feeling us what the event was for to begin with. You come to the vocal portion of the athletic can base and say that Greek life is going to be M.I.A. because of poor planning, then you try and guilt us with the children's hospital.... That's a troll move. I'm Greek and I say scheduling events during home games is a bad move and further perpetuates the stereotypes.
