  1. I mean what would you really expect the from him today? He had five scholarship players against the number 12 team in the country. Injuries have plagued the team this year and he's been recruiting pretty well. I think what Jahmal McMurray is showing as well this season shows how well he can recruit without considering him landing Troy Baxter. Next year though, I would expect to see a much better product and I think that would be the time to make the judgement on COA for Harlan.
  2. I wasn't saying that there was anything wrong with it coming from the coach, I just thought it was a little odd White retweeted. He was Taggart's first commit ever and I thought he would have tried to stay pretty neutral through the bowl game.
  3. White retweeted a tweet that I felt was kind of a slap in the face to Taggart, I dont know if anyone else caught it.
  4. You could tell he was emotional when they interviewed him on tv after the game. Glad to see him starting to become successful here.
  5. Couldn't agree with you more about the culture change. That and his hires show he is a great man for the job in my humble opinion. I do remember something with coach Fernandez contract. I think Woolard almost let his contract run out but eventually extended and Harlan recently gave him a raise. Not 100% about the first part. Lastly, COA is a Harlan hire but thats why I specified ranked teams.
  6. Im one of the biggest harlan supporters in the world but I don't think you can say that. None of the coaches on that list were hired by harlan and all had shown success before he arrived. Im speaking of the ranked teams of course. Like I said, Im a massive harlan supporter but I don't know how you could credit this weekend slate to him.
  7. That's just pathetic You expect the students to plan their cruises and trips around a womens basketball game? thats out of touch. If it wasnt spring break i would expect the student section to be the same as it was for the uconn mens game
  8. Probably no students at the game to be honest..... Its spring break
  9. Recruiting ranking on how well you performed compared to the rest of your conference. USF came in at #19 1.81 standard deviations above conference average http://www.sbnation.com/college-football-recruiting/2015/2/11/8008017/ohio-state-florida-state-boise-state-football-recruiting-2015
  10. Jose should frame that. LOL I dont think he can vote for his own team
  11. I don't think anyone could replace Sara but I think its very interesting that Wysocki got the first start. Erica Nunn was clearly number 2 last year and Wysocki didn't play at all as a freshman. So unless Nunn is hurt I wonder why Wysocki got the start
  12. No kidding. All our guys running and shifting around the line of scrimmage and ECU defense just stayed put and stuffed us. The difference is last season we would have 10 motion penalties as well. Im no football expert at all and would never claim to be. But personally for me I would like to think that hopefully some of those shifts is what have led to our receivers being able to be open on a large number of plays.( Even when they cant catch the **** ball.)
  13. FIFY, that's amazing! Either coach O's new program includes marathons, the meal plan was cut, or Perry decided to fast. I hope at least it adds 6" to his vertical leap. I actually saw him at the library and couldnt believe how skinny he has gotten
  14. More the latter. One could definitely be considered hazing if they are seen drinking and out of fear say someone in the fraternity told them to drink to save their own butt. In florida if a chapter is found guilty of hazing their president and another member (their title varies by chapter) also gets arrested. Also seeing a brother talk to someone going through recruitment could be considered "dirty rushing" in which case that fraternity could be barred from taking new members this recruiting cycle Seen by who? In these days of cell phone photos, I'd imagine the greek organizations could easily turn each other in. easily could and some happily would. especially rivals
  15. More reason that it's critical that they are there. Attendance was actually 31k, but you're free to keep golden showering your pants. Ticket sold was 31K, attendance reported by TSA was 21K. Got to consider the rain delay casual fan might not have stayed through that. Would have really liked to have known what the turnstile count would have been had there not been a rain delay
  16. If i ran the show this would have never ever ever been a problem to begin with garuntee that
  17. More the latter. One could definitely be considered hazing if they are seen drinking and out of fear say someone in the fraternity told them to drink to save their own butt. In florida if a chapter is found guilty of hazing their president and another member (their title varies by chapter) also gets arrested. Also seeing a brother talk to someone going through recruitment could be considered "dirty rushing" in which case that fraternity could be barred from taking new members this recruiting cycle Assuming (and k get you're telling me it's a big assumption) the rules are followed it would be no problem. That's my only point here. The Greek system absolutely can go... and out of fear of USF or however you want to phrase it... they are not. Just make the rules crystal clear... tailgate and go to the game. Technically yes if you followed every single rule you could go. The odds of people being able to follow those rules because of the amount of rules and how ridiculous they are .000000001%. Therefore risk reward comes into play. for the girls no. They physically cannot be there. Another hinderance for the guys. Tailgating is allot less fun without the college girls
  18. and i can speak for every single one ive talked to that we do wish we could go without a doubt want to be there. Tailgating is the greatest part of the year and we only get to do it six times so missing out on one has everyone groaning. This could be the length of the thread about a certain ucla quarterback if we discussed completely how this university doesnt really help the greek system
  19. I would also like to point out that is only for one week a year. its the most stressful ridiculous week of the year but it is only for one week. This year it just happens to be on the week of our biggest ooc home game
  20. None of the above. If you re-read his posts, USF has been incredibly tight with recruiting restrictions. Speaking to a potential recruit next Saturday could get the fraternity in a heap of trouble because it is some sort of dead period in recruiting. Obviously it is easy to talk to a potential recruit in a tailgate setting. Seems like it shouldn't be a huge matter for Harlan to get with the Greeks to either adjust the time periods for recruiting or relax the rules. This sums it up perfectly. like in football dead period. The recruit can call taggart but taggart cant call him. In our recruiting system we can get in trouble for both occurences.

  22. well asshat. considering these rules are implemented by usf and usf would be the one suspending us i think your obviously idiotic comments are misguided. The greeks system and its rules are controlled by the university and if you arent smart enough to know that then your comments dont hold the weight to be taken seriously What exactly would you get suspended for? Show me the rule that says u can't go to the game and tailgate... The ifc fraternal by-laws are not available online. (I just ran through the website really quickly might have missed them). I dont have copy of them either currently and wouldnt be able to get my hands on them til tuesday to give a completely accurate detail of them
  23. Also on the note of Harlan fixing this I have no doubts he will. I have friends in greek at UCLA and their gameday experience is amazing. They have a certain lot set up for them and the university helps them set up their tailgate and everything. Having something like that here would do WONDERS in helping student tailgating at the game. Tailgating is a huge factor in getting students to the game as well.

  25. Im going to be there because i luckily dont have to worry about the parking or the gas financially. But some people cant afford that. They cant ride the busses because they arent allowed to tailgate in any way shape or form. Therefore the people that would want to ride the busses its just not worth it to them. Allot of people just dont want to go through the trouble. (Not my opinion but the opinion of allot) Not to open the can of worms but this could be solved by an OCS lolololololololol Uhhh. Why can't they ride a bus? Busses get students there about 2 to 1.5 hours before game time. That just a long time to set around in the sun and not be able to do anything
