  1. I just completed this quiz. My Score 60/100 My Time 265 seconds
  2. Vague description single action-item agenda for a previously unscheduled BOT meeting set for 3pm on January 4. Long awaited stadium contract announcement?
  3. Should someone start a DJ thread for the Temple game?
  4. NOON! https://twitter.com/American_FB/status/534390884897685504
  5. The general consensus going into the season was USF wins 4 games. More would be sweet, but 4 was their ceiling. I understand the frustrations with the coaching and scheme. I understand the frustration with the fans knowing the supposed potential of the players on the field. However, USF has improved in the win column over last season, and the ceiling of 4 wins is still very achievable. My question for the Bullspen faithful is: will a win over one of the remaining opponents satiate the die hards?
  6. not necessarily true. A capital project like an OCS is like any building project, just with more dollar signs. The loan would carry a debt coverage of 5-6 million. Meaning USF would need to make at least that much a season to stay viable. In perspective, USF loses around $3 million to Ray Jay every year with no return on their investment. Add in naming rights like TECO and you already cover 4-5 million/year needed to finance the stadium. And noise pollution is not that big of a problem considering there are very few neighborhoods within reasonable earshot of campus.
  7. 1st things first. Ray Jay is clearly cursed. I am in the lose close games camp. The law of averages suggests that USF will win be able to win (and not fall apart) in these close games eventually. Its like a trend. Look at USF in 2010 (coincidentally Skips first year). That team won those close games and compiled a serviceable 8-5 record. 2011, the team was losing those games (5-7). Then the coaching scheme and lack of talent in recruiting took over. 2012 (3-9). Enter Taggart in year zero, 2013, 2-10 and not competitive save for several games (this we have generally accepted as rock bottom, or in other words the bottom of the trend). Now USF is a little more competitive and making games interesting which they were never truly in last season. It would appear USF is trending up from the bottom, but (as many have harped) 3-9 or 4-8 is likely where this team is headed. However, based on this trend USF should be around a 6+ win team in 2015 based on the current curve. Once there, USF should be able to sustain winning despite our coaching schemes, merely based on the talent from recruiting (a la CJL coached teams).
  8. question, for the veterans of this board, is the ocs grumbling becoming more vocal or just the status quo? I am firmly in the OCS camp. IMO the only thing hindering the OCS is our current commitment to lease RayJay (which conveniently ends in 2017). Financing such a project requires the ability to make 100+ million in capital, and based on the prior Unstoppable campaign and Harlan's track record of fundraising that figure should not be overly difficult to achieve. If memory serves, the previous unstoppable campaign raised 100 million for capital projects (the shiny new athletic district) and for scholarships. Phase II was announced last year with a goal of raising like $400 million more. As for parking, I think USF will not make their stadium unless they can also add additional parking garages which may service the campus everyday. Either way, I implore all to stay the course this will get righted, and the current AD will do it. Go Bulls!
  9. Also, even if we are getting out coached, I am a firm believer that accumulation of talent will equalize a coaches short comings. Look at Jimbo Fisher, and especially look what those Mississippi schools are doing in the SEC right now. Taggart, for his faults, seems to be a great recruiter. The league we play in is not great. So if CWT continues his trend of cruit'n well, then this team should be a perennial 8+ win team in a few seasons, even despite the lack of halftime adjustments.
  10. I am with you GA, this team hung 70 on NC a few games ago. 70! They are good, but it sure would be nice for this program to get a big win soon. Notre Dame seems so long ago!
  11. This team seems to put together a solid game plan from the start, but as everyone has pointed out fails to adjust. Who is that more on, CWT or Wulf and CCB? I think the only time "sticking to the script" has worked for Taggart was UCONN in the rain, where USF dictated that game from start to finish. As sad as tonight was, did anyone truly expect anything more at this point in the season? USF beat and lost to the teams they were supposed to. They beat the spread in three of the four losses (by making the games very interesting to far superior teams). The slate of games gets much easier as the conference schedule progresses, and only one more win builds on last season. The team is young, so lets turn those frowns upside down.
  12. in the link provided for the purported complaint shows that its a verified complaint and includes a sworn affidavit by Ferraro. He may be trying to muddy the waters to get his money, but he is exposing himself to potential criminal liability if what he is alleging is proven false
  13. but honestly. I respect Welch for sticking with the program through it all, but yikes I cringe when he gets targets. I mean Bronson or McCants seem like they can't be any worse, and Bronson has seen playing time. Also what has happened with Zach Benjamin? When he was recruited he seemed like a gangling version of Evan Landi - slow, yet tall and has good hands.
  14. If you are going to advertise your writings from another site, it is suggested your musings not impart a negative slant on this site. If you intend to engage the masses here, do so fairly and as a member of this message board community. Thank you. Apologies, I meant no ill to anyone. I am fairly new to the community, and the last time I attempted to start a similar discussion here I was met with a little vitriol. We are all Bulls, and we all just want to see the program and the school succeed.
