Hi Guest,

In our efforts to raise funds for USF Football, the site is giving away a football season full of ad-free surfing at The Bulls Pen.

Would you consider buying a ticket or two to the raffle that will award this to you or a fellow member of the board?

Each ticket purchase goes directly to our effort to raise $10K in "fan money" for the program.  Below is the link:

Which Freshman do you think will play or have an impact this year?
I’m impatiently waiting on the season to start, so I decided to list my predictions for which freshman comes in and plays in 2018. I don’t have any WR, TEs, QBs or RBs seeing the field this year. Zion Roland seems ready to go this year, but hopefully we can save him for 2019. I think our O-line improves once everybody is back from their injuries and we have some pretty good freshman coming in this year. Defense, we will not miss a step, and a matter of fact improve from last year.  Anyways, here is my freshman list and I feel they will plug whatever holes we have on the team…. except for special teams. Still a question mark to me. This is my pre-fall practice list. I’m sure things will change after fall camp. Anyways feel free to share yours.

Spring Game April 14th

February 06, 2018

TAMPA, FEB. 6, 2018 – Coming off 21 wins in the last two seasons and a program-record run of 20 straight appearances in the top 25 polls, the USF football team will return to the field for the annual USF Spring Game on Saturday, April 14.
For the fifth straight year, the Spring Game, which has drawn capacity crowds the past three seasons, will be played at Corbett Stadium on the USF campus and will be free to the public. The Spring Game will kick off at 2 p.m. and will be broadcast live on the USF Radio Network (820 AM in Tampa/Iheart Radio Bulls Unlimited Channel). Fans are encouraged to bring blankets and utilize seating areas on the grass berms surrounding the playing surface as a large crowd is expected.
The football game will cap off a day of entertainment on campus. Fans can enjoy a pre-game street fest with music, games and food prior to kickoff. Fans are also encouraged to use campus lots on Sycamore and around the Sun Dome for pregame tailgating activities.

5 months from today we'll take the field against Elon

What are the 5 questions this team faces heading into the 2018 Season?

My Five:

Which quarterback best fits Gilbert's "veer and shoot" system?

Is running back Jordan Cronkrite the real deal?

Will we have improved linebacker play and depth?

Who emerges as the clear #1 receiver following Adams ('16) and MVS ('17)?

Will this offense continue to average 38+ per game?

My speculation:

Still unsure, but I think the staff is going to prefer a dual-threat QB run the system

He gets the chance to show us

I think we remain suspect in this area

Love me some Tyre' but thinking Salomon might be the guy...Don't sleep on Antoine either.

In this conference, yes.

What 5 questions do you have about this team?  What answers would you add on previous questions?  What do we get a better idea of in the Spring Game?

Student fee to possibly fund on-campus football stadium
"Student Body President Moneer Kheireddine said student fees could be used to fund an on-campus football stadium during his State of the Student Body Address on Wednesday."

"Kheireddine said the potential fee could range between $30 and $80 a semester per student. He also noted that Student Government (SG) could not change student fees without a vote by the student body and that any statement regarding student fees to fund a stadium is currently hypothetical."

Mods, give this a day or two on the main board, please.

A wonderful USF student who is a friend of mine and used to work in my office is missing, and in need of medication. This actually happened a few days ago, but I just learned today. Since so many on here live in the bay area, I am asking for two favors. Take a look at his picture and let authorities know if you think you see him. If you have a social media reach in the Bay area, please share my post with your network of contacts. I am putting up the link for facebook, if you are twitter, I'm @Mike1625 and I just shared it earlier today. If the link doesn't work, just look up my name on facebook, I made the post public.

Thanks everyone.

Spring Football arrives in two weeks; what's at stake
Help me fill this out:

It may not be final until Fall, but top things we are looking for:

Quarterback battle to replace the Goat - Kean vs. Oladokun vs. Battle (?)

Starting running back, replacing DJ and Tice - ??

#1, go to WR - looking to confirm it is Tyree or someone else to emerge or co-lead?  Antoine/Salomon?

What about the O-line?  Is that an area of concern? Bye Deadrin, see you Sunday.

Is this in the proper order?

LB - lack of depth in 2017

Secondary - Abraham, Nichols and Fullwood gone.  Maybe not as great a concern with Hoggins and Wilkins returning as seniors and some underclassmen coming up

Line - always, but like returners

Ends - seems like always lately

Special Teams:

Punter battle - no idea who replaces the booming leg of Hernandez

Kicker - apparently a battle between Salani and Vivonetto

Long snapper returns; keeps a healthy diet.
