  1. Nice to read a story about our situation that is not tainted with local media sarcasm, blame and disregard. South Florida, Left Out Of Big 12 Expansion, Is Building For A Better Day South Florida's rival, UCF, along with two other American Athletic Conference members, are headed to the Big 12. What that means for USF is anybody's guess. At...

  2. Absolutely. IPF done by this time next year and an OCS coming much sooner than anyone thought. It's difficult to not be excited about our future, but I guess there will always be pessimists out there.

  3. Achieved incremental improvements from week to week It is Timmy Time - he seems more productive, brings energy to teammates and is mobile. Defense has got to get better both in the trenches and secondary. Being run over. BYU will run wild too. Week 3 FAMU is a MUST Win What else do we know or want to see in Game 3?

  9. This game will probable define the CJS tenure.

  10. I agree this is a very important game for CJS and the team, he has to be decisive and make the right qb move without waffling, we have to build on our momentum of last week, it has to be a decisive victory

  11. I can't help but wonder if the absence of a president let Jon and Will get a little bold here and throw this out there. Basically now if you want the president job good luck walking this back. That's my inner machiavelli thinking, perhaps.

  12. Same age with a lower goal, an FBS win .................. but seriously, I'd just like to see something built back like CWT but then build upon it to actually win divisions/conferences..

  17. I loved the crate video - so much better than anything else we have had IIRC - it used to get a good amount of cheers when the Bull smashed through the crate of the current opponent (always the last off of the truck)
    2 points
  18. Bring back the crates for us old folks! Trying to tie us to Champa Bay images was a bit weird though I get why it was done. Just a bunch of really quick shots you couldn't really follow (well maybe you youngins could). GO BULLS!

  19. Team has to work on tackling. I want to see the team make a statement vs FAMU...build something off 2nd half of UF game. If we are in a dog fight with FAMU...we will be lucky if we win another game this year. Playing calling was improved in game 2..keep that up.
    2 points
  20. I saw decent to good play calling this week. The execution needs work, but there was incremental improvement there. It wasn't until uf's 3d or 4th stringers were in that we looked somewhat similar in size. Holy smokes their starters dwarfed ours.

  22. So we're going to spend an entire offseason and half a regular season figuring out "what we have" with our QBs. I can't believe we have fans that are ok with this? If Scott wants to stick with Fortin, I won't agree but ok. If McClain starts, then you roll with McClain. The only way you make a change is injury, just really bad play, or mop up time. That's it. Our coaching staff better know "what they got" with each QB on their roster
    2 points
  23. So doom and gloom has set in from all the posts I have read. Let's do something more productive and talk about the future, even though it seems like it will be awhile before we get there. Timmy McClain could be the Quinton Flowers for Jeff Scott. He certainly needs some experience but the talent is there and as anyone who has been a diehard USF fan knows, we need a rpo/mobile qb to be successful. Just ask CWT who finally figured out that pound the rock with a pocket passer doesn't work here. Also, other honest assessments: D-line is improved, LBs about the same, DBs some improvements. Offense - we won't know until we play an opponent that is at our level, NC State and UF are way above our talent level at this point. Coaching - OC and DC are struggling and I am not sure they will last as CJS will either have to replace/blame them or it would be him admitting that he is the problem. CJL replaced plenty of coordinators over his tenure if they didn't succeed. I think CJS will provide the right culture and appears to be putting the effort in to do it. He just needs time and a little luck with the recruiting, as all it takes are 3 or 4 great players to get the momentum going. For CWT, it was QF, MM, RA, DJ. Go Bulls!

  25. So the Sun Belt is essentially passing us by? P7 baby!

  26. There are no gimmes for this team. USF will probably win but FAMU will give us fits. More than half this team has never experienced a win in a USF uniform.

  27. The Big 12 should just take Tulane, SMU, and let Temple/USF face off in a spelling bee. We'll be ready for you, reasearch 🙃 Really though. I'd be willing to sacrifice 50 or so spots on this list to improve some other areas... areas a certain group of three seem to have capitalized on.

  30. Maybe we could go with P 5.25 or P V.IIV**in Roman numerals just to screw up the big guys in the P5. (** subject to change by language scholar or monk) but you get the jest.

  31. I certainly understand everyone's pessimism based on our past whenever the OCS was a topic. There is going to be a realistic plan for the OCS. I can't tell you exactly when that will roll out, but it will be rolled out, so that those interested in helping with that project can do so. I've been here a long while and I don't think I have ever heard the Board of Trustees Chairperson ever talk about an OCS the way it is being discussed now.

  35. Ya I think I actually enjoy the performance art that is honing the argument while it’s in progress really having no idea where it is that I’m actually trying to go with it when I throw it out there. The part that makes it difficult is having more than one response as you can tailor the argument based on how you know someone will respond and that gets pretty messed up and exponentially more difficult with each additional person added to the argument.

  36. That will always be the case when you have multiple 230 pounders on your defensive line 2 deep. I still can't believe this

  37. I was actually kind of surprised at some of the holes the O Line was able to open up, even against the first team. There were some nice big chunk runs up the middle between Cecil and Wiggs.

  38. Again, nobody here is arguing that fact. CJS has been a failure up to this point. There's not a real argument to be made against ..... that but the crux of why you're so ******* annoying is that it really doesn't mean anything right now yet you've spent thousands, if not millions, of words trying to convince otherwise. You've never provided an explanation as to why he would recruit Q for a Harbaugh offense .... probably because there's not one. He had a plan from the beginning that took a while to get fully implemented.

  43. So my experience with TSA this past saturday was stellar. We pulled into lot 7 and the kids tried parking us (with trailer) in the middle of an aisle. A guy came over on a golf cart. He said "We dont have our VIPs park here. They park on the fence." so he moved us along the fence. We had a ton more room and plenty of people and traffic to come visit us in the tailgate. The guy in the golf cart told me they have all new staff this year and are going to do the best they can to make tailgating a priority. So that sounds like that is improving too.

  44. We did look better against a better team. Need a much better showing against famu and help us be really dialed in for BYU. Go BULLS !!!

  45. Why would anyone bring that up? It would mean the whole JPP thing was idiotic, at best.
    1 point
  46. I like that we didn’t give up and played much better in second half and scored 20 points. Im more concerned with the defense, we are allowing 600 yds a game and it doesn’t matter is if running or passing. Better tackling is needed. Next week we need to win and look better. Can we beat a team other than FAMU? Hard if our defense is so easy to move the ball against. Hope we bring on bigger bodies for that DLine which are mostly seniors and grad students and are still undersized

  47. I believe Glenn's first year as HC was 2015 and he coached the JV before that. But, I feel like I've heard JPP never played JV football.

  48. Start this kid now, let him make mistakes. We are not going anywhere this year anyways. He showed great flashed and made a few rookie mistakes. No reason to go back to Fortin. Make this Timmy's team and stop the musical chairs at QB.
