  1. The people who are complaining about wearing masks don’t know anyone who has been personally affected by the virus. Those of us who do realize how truly asinine their arguments are. There is NO political aspect to this discussion. It’s a simple public health issue, but you’re too selfish to recognize it.

  2. Nah. It’s just dumb to be angry. We’re in a global pandemic. You’re in a public venue. They told you before you went in what the rules are. The fact that you’re shocked they enforced them...

  3. Let's be honest... teachers have taught people how to speak correctly for years. Every time I hear someone "ax for something", is it the teacher's fault or the individual speaking? Same can be said about carrying a football. Coaches have taught Noah how to properly carry a football since his first days on the field. At some point, the disconnect happens. Is it the coach's fault or the individual? Place blame where the blame needs to be placed. Coach Scott nailed it - the fumbling needs to stop. If it doesn't, you'll be benched. It was a very good move by Coach Scott.

  4. A very detailed email went out last week laying out the rules for attending the game. One, which was very conspicuous, and stated you had to wear a mask at all times if you were coming to the game. The rules pretty much reflect the NFL rules. Stadium employees, many who probably have been jobless or working elsewhere for months...have missed out on working during Lightning playoff runs (many work at both venues)...have been handpicked to be some of the limited employees on that work force to return to work during this pandemic. Said employees have also been trained at lengt

  6. .... and if you didn't like the rules, which were hammered home in emails leading up to the game and signs everywhere inside and outside of RayJay, and weren't going to follow them, you should 100% have stayed home ...... which I have no problem with someone going that route. I think the rules are a bit of an overkill but also don't think it's that tough to deal with for 3 or so hours.

  12. Hate to read comments where USF fans/alum get so upset that they say they will never go to games again. Prob something they have enjoyed for years despite the revolving bad teams...You gotta ask yourself...Whoooo? are the ones that will have you wear masks until forever?? That's right. Oddly, "USSR" was mentioned and "Mask Police" in a comment interesting..we could possibly be in our preliminary phase of a new era. Hopefully not. It sounds like not many of us would enjoy that oppressive type of life. We can debate the Covid stuff on and on. There are many forms of virus and bacteria out there

  13. Scott on his first QB change: "I just felt like we weren't moving the ball on offense and I wanted some new energy." I thought this many games ago.

  14. I actually agree. If we were a big established program we could afford the 1 step back to take 2 forward approach. When you have a thin donor base, attendance issues, and a bare cupboard, the step back could be the step off the cliff.

  15. Had a RJS mask police chase me out because I wouldn’t wear mask when no one was within 50 feet while I was drinking a beer. USF and TSA can go eff themselves.

  17. Coach Scott and Team? I have lowered my expectations for this crazy year. maybe he an build and develop and see who he has that's a gamer. if we win one more thats prob within the realm of possibility. He has a lot of ground to make up in the AAC to catch up with the majority of the other members. You watch the other teams play and their improvement is very apparent. I think he is the guy to get us there. Until then I will watch, support and prob ***** a little but I will be logical about our product.

  18. Fair. The athletic department here showed its hand the day it fired Leavitt that athletics is not important, and continues annually to support that claim further. At least basketball is competitive. Gregory has made this team at least respectable with hope, which is more than football can say for the last decade without QF

  19. It all depends on the situation...unfortunately both political parties have politicized this...both have been right at times...both have been wrong at times..there is a middle ground here that is the best approach...in regards to the original poster, his point of wearing a mask when there is nobody within 50 ft of him is fine...nothing wrong with that...now (and he said this) he was fine wearing a mask at other times...middle ground...

  20. You're correct, I don't doubt you've seen people touching their face with a mask on- I do it myself. Too often. Though in aggregate, masks mitigate covid transmission even with people grabbing their masks and the science supports it. Reference the evidence I provided. This is why its important that its been studied and not connected to anecdotal 'evidence' or what people 'think' or 'see' people doing. Masks mitigate transmission- that is not refutable at this point. Here's where you're correct: As for Sweden, you're right, they didn't 'lock down' everything. Though early timing of a

  24. I've seen your boy Leavitt make some absolutely terrible coaching decisions and his teams played awful more than once. Scott has been head coach for all of 6 games in a year when he had no spring practice, games cancelled and players out due to virus.

  25. Exactly! I follow the rules on masks everywhere I go. I just felt that being outdoors with no one within at least 50 feet and having to take it on and off while drinking a beverage is excessive.

  26. Here's the thing. Everyone keeps saying "we knew the rules going into the stadium so live with it". I'm totally for masks, enforcing rules and ridding us of this virus over the next year. The rule is you wear a mask at all times except when eating or drinking. If enforced to the max (meaning drink for 15 seconds, pull up mask for 15 seconds, drink for 15 seconds, pull up mask for 15 seconds, etc) it's a horrible experience with $20 cocktails. I'd be fine if the rule was to wear a mask at all times and there will be no beverage or food sold whatsoever so you don't ever need to remove your

  27. Do yourself a favor and stay in Spain. Show me one study that says these masks make a difference. Masks have become a fashion statement and a way to virtue signal. Some are bedazzled, some are crouched, some are buffs worn as masks and most people don’t wear them correctly anyway. If the entire nation wore properly fitted N95 masks that would make a difference, but thats not happening is it. The whole thing is a sham to get people to live in fear because when a society is in fear they can be controlled. And just for the record I’ve had the China virus and I’ve donated plasma. So STF

He'll have plenty of time to ponder the ridiculousness of his refusal when he's in the ICU having his tracheal deep suctioned through his endotracheal tube while he's attempting to mouth the words 'I cant breathe' I seriously cant deal with the asinine nature of this non-sense anymore. More dead Americans than died in all of WWII come March- sure stick to your guns on this, makes you look American.

  30. What?? The entire constitution was filled with rights that were centered around "live and let live" so I don't think I have to go anywhere. I also don't wear a mask anywhere I go, and there is nothing you can do to stop me. Everybody seems to be letting me live just fine. You find an island you turd.

  31. Yep I for one really can’t stand the people that fought the British, snuck slaves out via the under ground railroad, harbored people from the Nazis, wouldn’t sit in the back of the bus or any other form of not following the rules that were dictated to them by their society ( I don’t care about masks one way or another (even though I’m very against shut downs)) but I just really hate this argument. Society is here to be changed and if not for people fighting against things they didn’t agree with (not that this is the hill I would die on) the world would not be a better place.
