  2. Speaks to the fact that no matter how hard we try to stay C19-free, if an opponent cancels, there's not much we can do. Said it before, I'll say it again. Don't take a single minute of USF football for granted this season. Anything can happen.

  3. I tend to agree. It just felt different when Noah was on the field. He looks more confident and decisive out there. It is hard to judge based upon the circumstances and I am sure we will see both of them again on Saturday. We will start with a game plan to try and win and then likely transition to one aimed at figuring out who we will be the rest of the season. Either way, I am just thrilled to have USF football back and the feeling that the players care again. There appears to be a palpable energy this season that was missing during the last two years of the CCS debacle.

  4. It's nice that we are getting attention, but this is what happens when there isn't as many games being played. 3 of the best match-ups this week (Houston v. Memphis, Virginia v. Va Tech, and BYU v. Army) were all postponed. That only leaves a handful of games involving P5 opponents that are intriguing (battle of undefeated or ranked teams). Houston v. Baylor, Tulsa v. Oklahoma St., UCF v. Ga Tech, and the "marquee" match-up of Miami v. Louisville. 4 of the 5 most intriguing games this week involve teams from the American Athletic Conference, so all of the sports fans out there owe our conferen

  5. From one of the ND message boards: "I don't care if they roll out the Derek Zoolander Center For Children Who Can't Read Good And Wanna Learn To Do Other Stuff Good Too freshmen 3rd team.I want to beat them so bad that they go back to USF and quit playing the game and ban their children from ever playing because of the pain they still feel after this one game.2011 still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth." Love that name! Let's make them 0-2 against us. We are only 1 of 5 current FBS teams they have lost to and never beaten... Sept 19 | South Florida

  12. You will have to download the Comcast App, which will then give you access to the NBCUniversal Gold App. From there, you can use a free, one-week trial to subscribe to the USA App, but you are going to have to upgrade that to the Suits+ option. That gives you all episodes of Suits with the director commentary, plus any college football games that happen to be airing on USA. Of course, if your internet service provider happens to be Spectrum, none of that is going to work as they don't have a contract with Comcast. What you are going to have to do instead is to use a VPN and set your location a

  13. We don't know what went on behind the scenes, but from those that I know close to their program the general consensus was that the guy was in way over his head and had not laid the foundation for a successful program. Kiffin didn't inherit ideal situations at the schools he was coaching at either. What he did with his 3 seasons at Florida Atlantic was pretty amazing. Believe me, I'm not a fan of the guy, but to me Taggart isn't at Kiffin's level as far as coaching chops are concerned.

  14. Are you saying that if Lane can win 2 conference championships and have two 10 win seasons at FAU in a three year span, then anyone can? That's what led to him getting a big job again. Because I disagree. I think that Lane, even counting all his flaws, has a leg up on Willie T and anyone else who has coached FAU since Schnellenberger. Lane is a true Xs and Os offensive mastermind.

  15. He took over 2 programs on the decline. Had Oregon eligible in his only season there. FSU may have been in even worse shape when he arrived. Remember that in Jimbo's last there they added a game late in the season just to become bowl eligible. Personally, I don't believe he was given a fair look at FSU for them to have pulled the plug before season 2 was over.

  17. The good thing for FAU is that once Willie bolts for greener pastures, they should be able to rehire Kiffin (should not be more than a season or two before Mississippi figures out that he is useless)

  18. Came here to post that. Lane's career was supposed to be DOA when he arrived to FAU (his beef with Saban at Bama was supposed to be the final nail in the coffin) but here he is back in the SEC. Willie has a long road back but it's not impossible.

  21. Let's not forget that in 2011, an arguably more talent USF team went into South Bend, forced 5 turnovers, didn't turn the ball over once, and held on to win 23-20. Notre Dame had 3 turnovers in the red zone and missed a field goal in order for USF to get the win. That is the type of performance we will likely need to see on Saturday in order to have a chance at pulling off the monumental upset. Bulls Grab Five Turnovers in Win Over No. 16 Irish - USF Athletics The Bulls handled Notre Dame history, hype and a huge crowd in Saturday's season opener that will

  28. This is our citadel versus the big boy game. Now we take our team and go after a team ranked higher than us and in another power tier. I hope we come out swinging and don't let up. I am not sure we will win, but if play UnitedFromSTartToFinish with fire and intensity we have a small opportunity to know them down. I personally think ND gets exposed this year and finishes barely above .500 playing ACC teams all season. They looked awful, but they had limited practices. This seems like the magic year we all dream about where anyone can beat anyone. So many programs have had limited practices an

I know we never get even the C squad anymore in life but they can at least take 5 min to pretend to have done some research and have a little pride in their craft.

  34. In college I volunteered at an after school program for a charter middle school where most students were living in government housing, the student demographic was about 80-90% minorities. So I’ve walked the walk and have witnessed the challenges in these communities first hand. I played basketball with the kids and went to a block party in a government housing project, to try to be a good role model for kids, some of whom had dads in jail. If these rioters and protesters wanted to help things they would be doing the same, instead they have a small army of rioters and they just harass bus
