  1. I imagine POTUS has spent as many hours watching women's basketball this year as I've spent negotiating nuclear policy with Iran, so I think we each agree to take each other's opinion with a grain of salt.

  3. I'm really confident in this defense, as long as we can have at least an average scoring offense and get like 28 PPG (would have ranked 72nd nationally last year) we will probably win at least 7 or 8 games and go bowling. Flowers winning the job would be huge, as long as it means he stepped up and its not based off the fact everyone else was hot garbage.

  4. I wish I could drink the koolaid, but it's wait & see for me. Still the rest of spring, summer & fall camp to go. I hope we're starting at a higher level and will end at a much higher level before the season starts, but man it's hard to forget McNeese and the confidence we had going into that game.

  5. I don't think I would call it "pessimistic" ... I would call it "dubious" ... and that is the job of a reporter. He is standing in for all of us... and we are all "dubious" at this point, right? We WANT to believe things are turning around... but we've been burned by that too many times. I think Greg Auman had the same "reflect the public" perspective... we were just a lot more optimistic when Greg was the beat reporter.

  9. I remember he picked Temple over USF a few years ago when the men's team upset them in the "2nd Round" after our play-in game win over California. He will be wrong here again. Proving POTUS wrong again makes me even prouder to be a Bull!!

  10. As long as he doesn't executive order an LSU win, we're alright.

  12. I always knew that his views and mine could not be more polar opposite, but I didn't think it went all the way into topics like women's college basketball. I'll take it as an endorsement! Go Bulls!!

  13. One thing to note. I'm a CJL guy. I started at USF in 2007 and knew I was going there in 2006. That's how long I've been bleeding green and gold. When we hired Skip I gave it a year... even went to watch us play Clemson in the last bowl we went to. After that game I remember thinking, wow! I thought we were on our way. I actually traveled to Pitt in 2011 when we were ranked 13th in the country and coming off a big win over Notre Dame. I remember leaving that stadium and saying the wheels have fell off, I thought we needed to fire Holtz. I tortured through that season and watched us ge

  14. I'd say they are actually pretty close. He has that juke that BJ had. He looks a little quicker in terms of lateral movement, he's more loose than BJ is in the hips. But they are pretty much the same. I think he is where BJ was during his second year of college... meaning I think he's around the same level was when BJ stepped in after Grothe was injured with one difference... I think Flowers seems to be a little better honestly at checking down to his TEs and RBs.... BJ would just break containment when the play wasn't working, Flowers keeps his eyes downfield even when he's runninghe thro

  15. We should be able to beat half the conference with a solid D and a QB playing sandlot ball.

  20. Sanchez is 10 pounds heavier than DD was his senior year. He played last season at 240. He's literally one of the bigger inside LBs we've had at USF 6'3 245... Moffitt played is senior season at 6'2 245. I think Auggie will be better this season than last. He was a redshirt freshman starting in the middle, and play decent. Harris at 6' 220 isn't much different than a lot of OLB we've had at USF. Sam was starting at 225, though he did get up to 230 as a senior. Our LBS actually look pretty similar to those we had under CJL... which makes me happy. I've had a chance to see a few pract

  24. I've heard positive things about Clerveaux and Legree at WR; I haven't heard too much regarding the O-line. Thor has been banged up. Thor and Bryjnar both, apparently. From the comments above, it looks like our O-line is pretty green, which to me means we don't have much depth there. Hope these guys learn fast & stay healthy.
