I am a fan of Bench, but White played good and if it continues he should start the rest of the season. However, Houston is just downright bad against the pass and White face very little pressure all game. I'm willing to bet Bench or Eveld could of had a halfway decent to good game against them. Didn't those guys have chances against lesser teams? All I know is that I saw the best qb play this year by far. It was the first time since ND 2011 that I was this excited or optimistic after a game. Bad pass defense or not, this kid made the offense look like an actual offense....the following are just my assumptions : Eveld and Bench presumably got the lions share of reps with the 1st team offense up until this week. Did you at any time see improvement in those guys that made you feel comfortable with either one of them leading the offense? This kid gets FOUR days of practice to work with the 1st team offense and get the primary focus of the coaching staff....and he promptly goes out and throws for 311 yds...2 tds...and completes over 50% of his passes....AS A TRUE FRESHMAN.....He didn't just make the QB position look better...he made 10 other guys on the field with him look better...they fed off his success.

This is beyond a call. This brings into question, should the refs be deciding who wins games. ...Said every fan of every team that ever lost a game.

Whoa!! Pump the friggin brakes there genius you're about to fly over the crevasse. This kid shouldn't be sniffing Blackwell's or Grothe's jock strap and you're ready to crown him king of QB's? Are you huffing paint? I know this is somewhat premature but to go from NO OFFENSIVE TDS in 3 games to 300 plus passing 100 plus rushing 3 TDs in ONE game when the ONLY difference is the quarterback, you have to admit we may have something very special. He completed 26/41 with at least 5 dropped passes. Credit those to him plus the TD called back you're looking at a TRUE FRESHMAN playing his FIRST GAME completing over 70 % throwing 350 yards 3 TDs 0 INTs..... Now THAT is something to be excited about. Not to mention none of his passes were gimmes he BEAT The defense with his arm and his 2 TDs were in a really tight window. Give credit to where credit is DUE! The only difference was the qb AND the opponent .... I don't think anybody is not giving him his due but talk about the best qb in USF history, after one game, and a loss at that, is just a wee bit of overreacting ...

You guys do realize that he had only a few days to prepare for this game. And one thing is for certain, he is the BEST QB we have right now.

Bout time somebody mentioned mike white on this forum

Taggart also recruited white for WKU. He turned them down because he wanted to be closer to home. It's not like they had no relationship prior to Taggart arriving at USF.
  13. 1 point
Yeah, except that Taggart wouldn't have known about White if not for Holtz and staff developing the relationship. Next Holtz will be blamed for Benghazi and the national debt.

People who believe the refs called a fair game last night prolly believe Pro Wrestling is a sport.

He had a touch in the Louisvile game when a ball hit him between the numbers and then fell harmlessly to earth that would have given us a first down on the drive coming out of the half ...

I don't care how the game turns out. We have hope now. Mike can deliver. The future is here. I am finally at peace.

How is it too early??? He has touch, he has the leadership, i dont care what ranked defense we are playing he looks 100% better than wat we have seen this year

Translated for Bausfkid Squire Bone: Good sir, how are you? I hope all is well. I write to you to inquire about our mutual friend, Sire Griffin. Duke Bivins: Our good friend Sterling is no longer with us for he has transferred to Louisiana Technical University. Squire Bone: Good heavens! Oh lamentable day. If it is not too bold to ask, what occurred that would cause such a decision? He indubitably does not want to find himself subject to rules regarding intra-division transfers, does he? He assuredly would have to forgo a season of playing handegg! Page KRock: Lords Bone and Bivins, Sire Griffin would not have to forgo a season of play as he will be graduating this summer; he will be immediately available for Louisiana Technical University, pip pip. Duke Bivins: Squire Bone, Sire Griffin expressed that the coaching staff was his reason for making the decision.

I think Woolard should give himself a raise, extend Willie, take a nap, call the AAC, take another nap, and then call the Big 12. But all that will have to wait until Monday, when he is in the office. Because he's on the golf course right now.

It's almost like our OL knew they couldn't let anyone hit him because if he got hit, he might break his entire body (small). They just didn't care to protect our RBs....

I don't care what anyone says; we totally won that game. Even UCF fans (on the ESPN comments page) were claiming that we were robbed. It was amazing to watch us play again! I was on the edge of my seat (only to facepalm at the ridiculous number of penalties).

I was waiting for White to get this chance since he stepped on campus. Just glad that he didnt choose baseball over USF. Thankful for that. He has the chance to be the best QB in USF history. Blackwell was great, but that was a lower division. Grothe was great but he tailled off with too many bad INTs. Daniels had the tools, but was way too inconsistant. Hopefully, White plays well consistantly. If he does, he will be our best ever at USF.

His arms are fine, eff'n kid is 18 years old Post a pic of your arms when you were 18. At 18 years old, your metabolism is going so fast, it's pretty hard to pack on muscle unless you are eating 5000+ calories a day Let's see a pic of your arms when you were 18 years old OP was just stating fact. In fact I was almost exact same stats, i was 6'3 185 when I graduated from high school (and low BF). Didnt play football but did strength train and had more size than White but was also tall and lanky too. White looks like he has never touched a weight in his life. From HS and now a semester of college strength training with his height I think he should be 200-210 and is underweight. I'm disappointed in our strength coaches. Maybe he didnt have enough size out of high school but he should be at least 200 lbs and I'm sure by next season this same time he probably will be. Daniels was listed 6-1 200 lbs out of high school. White is undersized just admit it everyone. Yes he gets a pass for being a freshman but at 6'4" it's not hard to reach 200lbs with proper training.

Eveld and Bench played against Michigan State, Miami, Louisville and Cincy. They faced 4 Top 20 defenses, 3 of which are in the Top 5. Houston is #88 in total defense. Yea they have a nice record but look who they have beaten and played. Nobody. White played well and I'm excited that he did, but stop fooling yourself like its some impressive feat because it was against a terrible pass defense who could hardly get any pressure on the kid. White will get his chance vs two Top 25 defenses in Memphis and UCF. If he continues to play well the rest of the season, he is gonna be a keeper. Until then everyone needs to stop slobbing on his knob.
