  1. Yes, if we get into the ACC, almost by definition, it wouldn't resemble the ACC we've known in the past. BUT, it keeps us with schools like Syracuse, Pitt, Louisville, and likely UConn and possibly Duke, that have name-recognition instead of being relegated back to obscurity. And yes, it would be the strongest BBall league with TV exposure that helps all sports AND with academic reputation. If your focus is only football-football-football, then you will almost certainly be disappointed. Still, I believe there is a measurable chasm between joining a revamped ACC versus staying behind (with

  2. Just heard from a pretty reliable source - my boss, who is a GT booster - that USF and Georgia Tech should be announcing pretty soon a 2 game series for 2013 and 2014. 2013 game would be in Tampa, 2014 game would be in Atlanta. I'm very excited. Apparently it's not on the radar yet, but my boss is usually money when it comes to this type of stuff.

  4. Who are we losing then? FAU or McNeese? You haven't been paying attention ... FAU will be a conference game next year.

  5. Which makes me worry about how they did it. Was probably one of the good things that being in the Big East for that time did for us ..... more revenue than we would have seen otherwise.

  8. Brilliant and shows thier AD thinks outside the box. It may piss off the fans who were looking forward to the game but in the long term the fans were prob happy they got rid of the coach. USF would never do anything of the such, we have an AD who doesnt get it.

  11. Basically, I feel the best scenario is for the ACC to become the Big East of a couple of years ago and the Big East to become the C-USA from a couple of years ago.

  12. I've already been paying on it for several months now with auto pay .... That's the only way to go and the least painful on several fronts. Same here. Making payments. HEY! I wonder if they have a lemon law on coaches?...

  14. That's funny considering there are more youth soccer clubs across America than football teams. On a national level, of course it can't compete with the NFL but to say that people don't care s rather ignorant. Yeah but the vast majority of those kids quit when they are 13 or 14. The same could be said about pee-wee football or little league baseball.

  15. I didn't get the impression anyone was meaning we should be pushing for this now, just that it would be nice to have one and to have the means to build one. we could be killing it on the football field and still be just as unlikely to be building anything on campus any time soon. SIX OR SEVEN GAMES PEOPLE--- rent, do not buy

  16. let me get this straight -- some have claimed we can't afford to buy out of Holtz current contract yet we have people on here thinking THIS is an ideal time to go forward with building an OCS? That sounds pretty clueless to me. Have you ever balanced a check book in your lives? Where does all this mysterious money come from when the program is clearly struggling more than it ever has in its history? Attendance is down-- let's build a stadium-- yeah-- that will get the fans to come back in droves. They won't mind losing anymore if we do that. Yeah-- embrace that suck

  17. Guys. No way B12 takes USF. In my mind the only way USF (or UCF) move up is the ACC route

  18. Create a facebook event and have everyone invite everyone they know...get the whole USF community involved and the chances of making this happen go up lol.

  19. Losing by 1 point or losing by 21 points = same results. You lose. Second place. An "L". One in the loss column. I expect to be competitive in 100% of games. I expect to win more than we lose.

  20. I wasn't there -- went to The Who concert in Orlando (great show-- was keeping up with the game via phone the whole time though) -- but find it disconcerting when we throw out all this hate after a win. To me-- it's a win. We needed that. Don't care how we got it. Don't care to piss and moan over the team or coaches lack of this and that-- plenty of people seem to have their pitbull teeth sunk deeply into the arse of the program that nothing short of a 60-0 victory is going to shut them up. Maybe they are right about what needs to be done but can we not enjoy a win for a win's sake? I mean-

  21. ^^ Maybe we need to get in on this deal and split a 50-50 deal with them for this stadium Soccer is NEVER going to take off in this nation... let alone in Tampa. Its obvious that these people must be working for the Joker since they have money to burn on this crap. They also must not understand how to read because RayJay was built to accommodate major league soccer. With that said, since these people are obviously fools USF should approach them and see if they will build it on our campus so our soccer team can benefit from it, and make it so that the stadium can be eas
