I know people might say "Who cares.. its UAB"

And that this belongs in another sub-board

 

 

But sometimes it's good to hear/read when "one of the little guys" are able to succeed against the CFB cartel

It's 100 more kids that can get a scholarship and play Division 1 football. This is great news.

Happy for them...sounds like they got to start from scratch though

 

Although I give huge props for their coach

He led them to their first bowl eligible game in 10 years, right when the program was cancelled

 

He was offered multiple jobs afterwards.. but stuck to his guns, refused them, and stayed with UAB hoping the program would be revived.

I agree about their head coach. I think we will see him moving up the ladder to bigger schools in the not too distant future.

Nay, nay .... USF is receiving bad karma because a decade ago we were mean boys to UCF fans who infested OUR board craving attention.
