With all of the schools announcing what they will be paying in COA, has it been announced what USF will be paying for scholarship athletes.  This is VERY important, and could put USF at a recruiting disadvantage if not announced soon.  If it has already been announced, forgive me, I must have missed it.  Just recently, ECU and Tulsa from the AAC announced what they would be paying.  ECU was over 4K a year and Tulsa was at about 2,500.  Has this been announced at USF.  Someone in the know needs to find out ASAP if not.  There was an article in the Tulsa World about what Tulsa is doing, but for some reason it won't let me post the article here.

I'm thinking, what's Antigua's salary got to do with this, and who else is trying to get him away from USF!?

Guess it's still early for me...

COA = Cost of Attendance (in this case).  It's what the so called "Power 5" voted to give to athletes, and schools from the "G5" are also authorized to give (and many have done so already).  Many schools in the AAC have already announced what they will be giving next year, but I haven't heard what USF will be giving in COA (or have missed it).

USF has said, even when the idea was still being discussed, that they will agree with paying for CoA.

While USF may be stuck in a "lower Tier" conference, they've mentioned that they will do whatever it takes to stay competative up with the "P5" conference teams.

This has been covered here at TBP few times:

I don't understand why we keep rehashing subjects.

What do you guys think of USF looking into an OCS?

Wonder if we could sell the naming rights to Publix and have Publix subs at the concession stands? The season can't get here soon enough.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
