Eh.. it's debatable. Marshawn has had 5 attempts at the 1 yd line this season and only succeeded once. That is definitely not a shoe in.

No, but it was 2nd down ... chances were pretty **** good and if it didn't work, they still had two more downs.

Patriots didn't win as much as the Seahawks lost it.  This, coming from a completely impartial viewer.

You're not getting 3 good shots at running the ball in 26 seconds with only one time out .... and Butler WON that game for the Pats with a helluva play.

I didn't say anything about them running it two more downs.

You run the ball once with Lynch. No brainer.  It works, you win the Super Bowl.  It doesn't, you call time out and then think about spreading it out and seeing if Wilson can make some magic happen.

There weren't any "no brainers" in that situation with time being what it was. There were several options and they chose one of them. The play was there. the undrafted FA just made a better play than Wilson/Lockette

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
