How does one do that? Plastic bag over the head? No matter what, very sad, he was a great entertainer, but always got the feeling he was a bit tortured within. That was where I was going with that. Seems like the brain may have a hard time allowing oneself to do that ...

They usually say cause of death is hanging as there is a noose around the neck and it's pretty clear what happened, in those cases, right? Sad any way you slice it. I was a big fan of Hook and Good Morning Vietnam, among others.

I assume a hanging gets listed as asphyxia if the person died from suffocation, rather than a broken neck. Hanging probably isn't a legal/medical term. I watched him film a movie in Washington Square Park in NYC once. Just walking thru the park and happened to see a small film crew. Wandered over and it was Robin and some little kid and a dozen or so tech guys shooting a scene. No big production, no security, just a bunch of happy people and a camera. Will have to go rent it now... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/August_Rush Dead Poets is one of my all-time favorite movies. I still use this scene every semester to encourage students to think for themselves.

I still use this scene every semester to encourage students to think for themselves. One of my favorites, too .... One of those, like for me, "A Few Good Men", that whenever you come across it while channel surfing, you stop and finish watching it .... even though it's probably the 1,000th time you've seen it.
