The kid had burst to the hole which is a nice plus at the 3. Naturally as a young kid he looked like he could use some weight but that would come with some weight training. Great defender...huge potential. Wish he was a 2015 guy and hope the new Gator staff doesn't go after him.

The 6-foot-9 native of Florida opted to end his recruitment on Friday as he committed to South Florida. Baxter picked the Bulls over his other finalists of Arizona State, Arkansas, Connecticut, Kansas State, Murray State Temple, Texas Tech and USC. Troy Baxter @WitnessTroy I have officially committed to the University Of South Florida #Bulls Playing with Team Breakdown in the Under Armour Association this spring, Baxter has shown elite athleticism to go along with the potential to be an outstanding jack-of-all-trades defender. The native of Gainesville is still developing his game on the offensive side of the ball, but Baxter still finds himself as a three-star prospect and the No. 127 overall player in the 2016 class in Rivals‘ rankings. Baxter is only averaging 8 points per game in eight contests in the Under Armour Association this spring, but he is more prospect than player at this stage in his development. Baxter is also shooting 53 percent from the field and averages a little more than one steal per game on the defensive end. Baxter is South Florida’s first commitment in the 2016 class and head coach Orlando Antigua did a great job of making him a priority recruit. So, it is a very pleasant surprise. Got to give CoachOA a lot of credit in landing him. Looks like 2016 is shaping up to be a great class. Hopefully, there will be enough improvement on the court this coming season, to get some more players of his caliber.
