The man was unbelievable,  he was not only a trick shot artist he was a HOF bowler....I consider myself fortunate to not only have seen him practice and perform his trick shots, but to have gotten many pointers from him when I was a young pup. He fitted me for my first bowling ball

 

 

That vid was in 48, so that makes you ... let's see ... carry the seven ... OLD!

I first met him in the mid '50s, and last time I saw him when he was in his 80s. He was still sharp as a tack, and remember me.  Due to aging problems he had switched to bowling left-handed and was still far better than most people half his age. He lived into his 90s. My grandfather had bowled against him in money games many  times long before I was born.

 

 

I'm guessing they still had manual pinsetters back then?

There probably were some in backwoods towns, but I never saw any.   

 

 

Sorry, by "back then" I was thinking of your grandpop's money games ...
