We need more DBs since we're switching to the 42 defense

 

Understood...but I still think we have a ton of DBs.  But, coaches know a lot more here than I do.

You can never have enough good defensive backs especially in today's college game. Part of the reason our old defense was so good was because we had Mike Jenkins, Williams, Allen etc...

Seems nice and physical based off that video, hopefully he can knock some UCF receivers on their asses ASAP.

Nobody is gonna play meaner than McGee from this recruiting class.

McGee was one of the top guys I was hoping we'd keep (LB Thomas was my top).  I agree he looks ready to play today.  Can he play as a freshman?  We have a lot of talent at DB, but not a true superstar yet.

I kinda think there is a lot of talent on this team that the fans haven't seen much of yet.  I kinda think Devin Abraham will take over a spot because he's good and smart.  Godwin and Byrd are still a lock at safety.  I think Hassan Childs needs to see the field at Safety too.  Johnny Ward is a turnover machine and was slightly injured last season (2 INT, 27 solo tackles, 1 recovered fumble).  Then you've got Lamar Robbins who might have to fight off Tajee Fullwood for the Husky Spot.  I don't think anybody from this class breaks through except OL.  I think there would have to be some injuries for these guys like Mcgee and Ferguson to play meaningful reps.
