Couldn't we make Homecoming someone like Memphis or something? I know it's a crapshoot and 'any given day', but hey let's just schedule a top 10 team for homecoming, woooo

They do family weekend but it's not done very well and you do pretty much all of it on your own...

Just making sure people realize that family weekend is nothing to do with alumni and their families .... it is a weekend for parents of current students to come to campus and spend a weekend with their student.

 

It appeals to traditional aged freshmen students who are not from the Tampa Bay area. IE - your family from out of state comes and checks up on you.

 

The game is picked (in the past at least) based on the date and not the opponent. They want something from late September to mid October, so that the kids who are home sick or slacking off have a chance for their families to make a positive impact on their academics.
