Just saw this, not sure if this has already been discussed. I hope he can 'catch' on.

WR Carlton Mitchell, South Florida, 6’4", 212, 24 years old

Mitchell was drafted by the Browns in the sixth round of the 2010 draft. He played 52 snaps over 16 games with the Browns in two seasons, catching only three passes for 32 yards as injuries and ineffectiveness kept him off the field and on the practice squad. After two unproductive seasons and after struggling with a leg injury in camp, he was released by the Browns in late August 2012. He was signed and released by the Jaguars in a three-day span in November 2012.

That's why its important for these kids to have degrees when they leave USF, no matter what level they play on. I wish him the best.

not sure if you were trying to imply he doesn't have his degree or just making a generalization, but i beleive he has his degree

Not implying anything about Mitchell personally, making a generalization. (Maybe free agent Darrell Scott can come back and finish his degree)

And sorry, didn't read the link. So often on this board the link is for the quoted material.

i still find it crazy that he left early.

He's got ALL the physical tools. I think he just needed to refine his game a bit.

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
