Only reason it concerns me at all is that it wasn't a single isolated incident - he (allegedly) committed the (admittedly minor) crime, but then even after time to think about it, made the problem even worse  by failing to appear. Multiple instances like that start looking like a pattern. Certainly not the end of the world, especially considering all of the other awful stuff that people skate on. Hopefully he has learned from that.

Would be a huge, huge get.

In fairness, he's in college and during college you're keeping two addresses-your parents' and your university address. His summons could have been sent to the wrong address on accident and he never heard about it.

If it was missing a jury duty notice or something, I get it. But given the structure of the criminal justice system in Florida, it was highly unlikely he was not aware of this charge. I still think it's not the end of the world, but it's not like this is something that just happened to him - he created the issue to begin with.
