Can't understand why they'd cut their program off at the knees like that. He'll set their program back and be gone in a year.

This is a good hire for WKU. Well, at least a short term good hire. I doubt Petrino will be there after 2-3 years.

Well he knows the area, and maybe WKU is only looking for a 1 or 2 year guy right now to propel them forward. Once he props them up, a better coach will want to come take over upon his exit. Makes sense to me.

It will be interesting to see where WKU is in 2-3 years versus us under Taggart. Might give us an inkling of what may had happened if we had hired Petrino.
