Well, he's better than Flowers...

I'm still not certain I would agree at this point, based on Litton's sole game against an FCS opponent.

Or if we're going to compare, we'd put up Flowers v FAMU against Litton v Norfolk St.

And...it SEEMS Flowers has a much better attitude/team mentality.  But, that may not be fair, given I don't know either guy.

Here's an article in today's Tribune that talks about an inflated self-perception and the burning of bridges.  I'm assuming the bridges refer to us.

Well I hope this puts to bed all this nonsense about USF "letting him go" or dripping the ball on his recruitment. He admits in the article about being too cocky to accept a lowly USF offer

Chase Litton probably just became Marshall's starting QB for the next three or four years.

Started today in place of struggling JMU transfer Michael Birdsong, went 24 of 31 for 270 yards, 4 TD, 0 INT, 5 runs for 27 yards.

Never should've let him go.

Read the TBO article on him.  He claimed he messed it up because he wanted better.

Back when he was committed to USF a friend of mine was on the coaching staff of a local high school. He would go to all the local camps and he ran into him a lot. Knowing I was a USF fan he would always tell me that this kid was a jerk and a hot head and said that he had talent but in his opinion he wasn't talented enough to deal with his ego. Once that decommit happened he told me it was the best thing to happen for us cause he would be a cancer.

Even though he's playing for Marshall he hasn't been putting up Rakeem Cato like numbers so let's not overreact and say we are missing out on much. Personally after the accounts I heard of his attitude I would not have wanted him either, especially at a position like QB where leadership is a big part.

"He is a young and extremely gifted offensive mind, a developer of high-level talent and an elite national recruiter who brings the experience of having played an integral role from the beginning in helping to build one of the most successful programs in college football."

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
