Holtz, who has guided the Bulls to wins over Miami and Notre Dame in the last two seasons, does not expect to be consulted by USF administrators.

But the SEC said Tuesday afternoon that the only invitation it had issued was to Texas A&M.

How many of us really thought the ACC or SEC was coming for us? I wish it were so...

I think UCF/Houston/ECU and Southern Miss get (got) the call first...

who else gets the immediate invite?

I love the craziness that is the big east pursuing "top caliber" institutions. I just hope our definitions match up

This could really be GREAT news for USF.  I know many might be worried that UCF could be in the list of teams being added.. maybe maybe not.  But USF can really have time to grow and mature in the Big East.  We will get to pick and choose our times to play the big boys and have a legitimate shot at establishing ourselves before the next round of shakeups.

I wish Bulls fans would quit thinking of us as little old USF.  We have proven we belong in a mix of the best teams in college football.  We are ranked in the top 20 and should be higher as the season goes on.  We are the "Big Boys".  Let's give up this small time thinking.
