Played like crap but still able to win

Bolts were a what, 2-1 shot disadvantage?  :o

Dude, you don't play like crap and win a Game 7 hockey playoff game ...  ::)

I wouldn't say we played like crap but there is lots of room for improvement.  We need to spend less time on our end of the ice and allow less shots on goal for sure.  We'll have our hands full with the Capitals but nothings impossible.  I'm excited to see how things play out... I'm expecting us to be competitive and for this one to go to seven games as well.

Yes.. You can play like crap, but still win game 7 if you have a goalie who ends up saving the teams ass.

He played lights out.

They were out-shot 36 - 23, and played with their backs to their goal virtually all of the 3rd period never even threatening once.

Obviously, following the Panthers for the last few years has numbed your ability to assess playoff hockey ... Roli DID play lights out but that doesn't mean the team played like crap in front of him. They won the face-off battles, they blocked around 20 shots and a sure sign of a team playing like crap is giving the puck away. TB had TWO giveaways to the Pens twelve. They didn't dominate the game but they sure as hell didn't play like crap

and played with their backs to their goal virtually all of the 3rd period never even threatening once.

Pitt threw everything at them in desperation that last period and if TB had played like crap, they would have lost. While the lightning threatened very few times, they DID threaten early on in the period ... and a team playing like crap doesn't keep a team scoreless, that has a two man advantage, for over minute ...

Thus far tonight's game is so-so... the Bolts are obviously worn out and the Craps are fresh... we HAVE to start checking if we are going to win though.

We need to win at least one in DC because we're not winning on Wednesday, if they try to go with Roli on back to back games ...

Ovechkin hasn't been roughed up any but he isn't performing really well either so that is a plus.

Downie got called on a ******** penalty that indirectly led to one of their goals.  Gagne got nailed hard on a clean hit that sent his head into the floor.  Looks like he hurt his neck or head pretty hard and is out for at least the rest of the game.

Stamkos got another goal which is nice to see after his slump leading into the playoffs.

So far it has been a pretty exciting game... Lightning lead 3-2 at the 2nd intermission.

Sucks monkey balls having to follow this thing through ESPN's Gamecast but what jumps off the screen is that we're being outhit 20 to ******* 8 ... but leading by a goal ... Caps intimidation attempt not working?
