We would welcome back Chandler with open arms, and he would be a solid pick up!Welch would be a descent pick up as well!

Deonte Welch, Long play threat. Listed as athlete will probably play WR for Bulls. He ranks 3- Stars on Rivals, NR by Scout.

I figured their had to be some big name surprise prospects visiting, based on a Patrick "teaser" tweet yesterday.

"On the bus going over to Raymond James. Can anyone guess who is all with me?

about 19 hours ago from web"

http://twitter.com/USFKevinPatrick

I bet all the recruits on the bus got a chuckle out of that.  ;D

Chandler fits the "big name" mold; Welch doesn't. Welch would be an average pick up at best.

Normally you are right, but the staff must get at least one competent, competitive, and servicable WR on campus in this class.  Because of that Welch is a big pick-up....we need insurance in case.

I know, I know... Welch would be a good pick up. Its just with these rumors floating around about Christian Green signing with USF, and losing out on Sanders; it would be a little disappointing if we settled on Welch.

Once Canales was let go Sanders and Carnes situation was toast.

Green is still pipedream at best.  Don't expect anything like that just yet.  He's at FSU right now.

So given the circumstances Welch is good.  Give the staff more time and next season this area is loaded with top flight WR's like Lovett, Davis, Frankie Williams, Story...Skip doesn't have to go more than 50 miles to land 5 top flight WR's.

I think Chandler might have gotten the Carnes message loud and Clear. I think he wants to come to USF and rather than mess around with a trip to USC this weekend he decided to come home to Skip. I think him being here is really good news.

I have the same feeling. Also think Mitchell coming is going to help land Chandler as well
