Everyone else is getting one!I heard on 1010am today that the Seminole tribe is looking to get the stadium next to the casino. Maybe they'll pay or at least get the Rays out of their lease and they can build the stadium.

Maybe they'll pay or at least get the Rays out of their lease and they can build the stadium.there is actually some truth to this. if they did build it near the i4/i75 intersection around the fairgrounds....the seminole indians would kick in a BIG amount of the costs...i just dont know if that would fly with MLB.and i know stu wants the stadium in tampa and thats part of the reason he pressed the al lang spot knowing it wouldnt go thru and only upset more people than it excited.bottom line is....if the rays are going to be here in 10 years it will have to be in a new stadium. and a hillsborough county stadium makes more sense then another one in pinellas.if the 49ers can leave san fran and build a new stadium in santa clara i think the rays can leave st pete and still draw their core fans. Do you really think they'll front a significant ortion of the 600 M that it would cost? I seriously doubt it because it won't benefit them enough. The reason stadiums and arenas are paid for with public money is because they take decades to make money if they ever do.Any Tampa Stadium would need a significant portion from public money and that isn't coming soon...not when the economy is complete crap.We need to understand that it's gonna be at LEAST 5-6 more years at the Trop...
