Bulls Continue To Go Through Uneventful Yet Productive Practices

Tampa, Fla. – The University of South Florida football team is closing in on the end of its first week of preseason training camp with the workout sessions being relatively uneventful, yet extremely productive. The Bulls have dodged the summer heat by practicing from 8-10 p.m. instead of its usual practice time in the morning. That schedule will resume next week.

“It was a good practice, the guys just went and banged away at it,” said USF head coach Jim Leavitt. “There was nothing else more than that that we were really excited about.”

The Bulls will return to the practice field on Friday evening for its final 8-10 p.m. workout.

I love uneventful....let's keep it that way.

By uneventful, they mean no one got seriously hurt. Which is good news. 22 days!

Let's hope the injuries are not serious to these guys !

Glad we have a month to heal and we know what they can do.

Hoping for the best.

I know it  won't happen but I sure would like to hear how Mike Ford is progressing.

He looks good. He's a big kid. If you put Mike Ford now next to Mike Ford when he got here there is a visible difference. He's gotten back into shape in a hurry. I'm interested to see how he looks come the first scrimage to see how far he's come since spring.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
