What would you hope to achieve by giving the kid the scratch? It's not like he's gonna sign a contract to play elsewhere. He's at your alma mater, playing...what else would a booster want? Send the money to the University.This stuff happens everywhere, you can't legislate idiots giving or taking money. Prisons are full of them...My personal favorite was a buddy who went to SMU back in the Pony-Express Days (i.e. pre-death penalty). His job, for $30 an hour, because it necessitated use of his engineering major, was to make sure that the water pressure in the University's swimming pools did get too high and cause all the water to blow-up out of the pool.
