He was a top QB recruit 2 years ago and the reason he was kicked off wasn't drugs or grades...it was because he took more money than he should have from a booster.

I usually don't say this, but this guy is worth a look.

Don't think he will play in the NCAA anytime soon.

He was making up to $100 per hour...for work he probably never did.

So was Troy Smith at Ohio State...

Oklahoma who had it's program ruined by NCAA sanctions in the past didn't take the risk that Ohio State did in keeping him around.

USF doesn't have the mad-crazy boosters that many top programs have at this point.

We will in 20-30 yrs especially w/a NC trophy sitting in the Athletic Facility on Fowler.

You gotta wonder what these guys are thinking...they do more harm than good. What would you hope to achieve by giving the kid the scratch? It's not like he's gonna sign a contract to play elsewhere. He's at your alma mater, playing...what else would a booster want? Send the money to the University.

This stuff happens everywhere, you can't legislate idiots giving or taking money. Prisons are full of them...

My personal favorite was a buddy who went to SMU back in the Pony-Express Days (i.e. pre-death penalty). His job, for $30 an hour, because it necessitated use of his engineering major, was to make sure that the water pressure in the University's swimming pools did get too high and cause all the water to blow-up out of the pool. To accomplish this dangerous task, he was forced to lay by the pool all day in the summers.....

The only reason why donors "donate" to players is that they have a need to be "closer" to the program -  ::)

Why hurt your school ?

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”
