Maybe on-campus stadium won’t resolve USF’s attendance woes

Turns out, USF's spring game may have answered the Bulls' most pressing question after all. One might even suggest Saturday's proceedings left no room for doubt.

An on-campus stadium probably wouldn't nudge the needle in terms of attendance.

And you thought we were talking about the quarterbacks. Nope, just the ones who choose — or don't choose — to come watch them.

Does the lack of spring game attendance mean that an OCS would not help attendance?

Houston only drawing just over 1100 to their game is kinda shocking. Anyone know if they had weather issues?

It is what it is.   Tampa bay has lots of distractions vs.  Gainesville or Tally.

We had baseball that day and I believe the Rowdies.

The only way we can grow our attendance is by beating huge name teams.

Would a stadium cure it immediately? No.  But long term having it on campus could slowly grow the fan base as students create memories every season on campus.   It's not a silver bullet but it definitely would help over the life of the program.  If you're building a stadium it's not because it will fix your attendance woes, it's because you want to make a major investment in campus atmosphere/student life.   Having the campus be a giant party 6 times a year would definitely help the issues over the long term....

Can anybody guess on how many were students vs alumni\public?

I still think the school hasn't created the culture to improve attendance yet.
