I know SM is a top MLB prospect and all but, is there a chance that we would be better with Pete in the Friday night role? He is more likely to work deep into games. Three of SM's last four games have not been very good, while PS hasn't allowed more 3 ERs since UNC.

I don't know what Mohl is thinking and I haven't seen these guys pitch enough, but PS gets the job done on Saturday night.  There's no reason to switch the nights that each guy starts.   SM has thrown fine the previous 2 Friday nights, he did not throw well last night.  Even with that, he has 7 quality starts in 9 starts.  I say leave them alone.

SM gives up wayyyyy too many walks. His control is not very good. I agree though I would not change them up yet...yet.

He's always struggled with control.  I don't know what the advantage is to changing the night of the starter unless we talking removing SM from the rotation, which isn't going to happen.

Listening to the game today I learned that tomorrow we will be facing their previous Friday night starter...Not sure of when they made the change - offseason or in season...could find that with a little research I suppose.

Agree...at this point you may not be able to do it. Hope he SM gets better and settles down. If he does we should have enough to do some damage in the AAC tourney

By the way, he also still has a 84 K/29 BB ratio.

My biggest concern is the length. I know it doesn’t really matter who goes Friday or Saturday but PS’s ability to deep into games sets our bullpen up better for Saturday and Sunday.  And agains SM has allowed 4 or more ER’s in three of his last four starts. His struggles didn’t start this Friday

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
