next year looks pretty good, so long as we get that on-court leader to step up & run the show. Maria was the closest we had this year, but wasn't clear game-in, game-out

Ah, the old “next year looks good!”💩    That’s what I heard right after last years one-and-done.

Lia was every bit of the leader that Maria.

And the MAC Tourney Champions, Central Michigan (11 seed) beat 3 seed Ohio State.

Laia doesn't have the mental game that she needs to lead. Maria got it in the 2nd half of the season, but I still want to see another Courtney grace our court.

And yep, as much as you might want to throw up in your mouth, I'd take a repeat season to end up where we did in the ranks.

I believe Jose would disagree with you about Laia.

Were you there in Tally?

Buffalo wasn't properly seeded. Big school bias lives in the committee.

And....according to CJF, USF was snubbed because they weren’t given a 4 seed.

And we may have been.  Had we been a 4th seed there is a better chance we win a first round game at home. Buffalo is proving themselves to be a tough out.  Because we lost to them doesn't mean we didn't get snubbed.

As for next year, it is going to be hard to replace the double/double from Maria and Laia's assists.  If we do as well next year I'll be surprised.  Maybe not a major fall off but see a bit of a decline.

I don’t believe Felisha Legette-Jack complained about Buffalo’s seeding. She made her statement on the court.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
