Be sure to eat the sandwich while overlooking the ocean...nothing like it. Edited February 10, 2018 by NewEnglandBull

Because it's Publix, they'll entertain just about any combination of meat & cheese you see there, whether it's on the menu or not. Pretty much what GA was saying--you're only limited by your imagination, and I'd add that sometimes even your imagination isn't the end. I've had two "artists" who suggested something they made specially at their store. One was this Jamaican chicken & pork combo with jerk sauce they made, and the other was an Indian chicken & cheese combo with curry--both were seriously awesome and definitely not on the menu. Now that WaWa has infiltrated FL they pop up in every pub subs discussion preaching about their overrated gas station deli. Ok, whoa, whoa, whoa, hold on here. You cant compare WaWa to Publix anymore than you can compare Outback Steakhouse to Bern's. Ok, so Outback is fun, makes a decent steak but it's not even in the same category as Bern's. Same with WaWa, It's fun, who doesnt like their touchscreen ordering? It a decent sub but it can't be compared to Publix because its not the same category. Publix is the Bern's of not only sandwich making but also of grocery stores in general. WaWa is a convenience store, it doesn't even try to be Bern's. It doesnt want that market, with their culture and expensive tastes, those people go to Publix.

Whenever one gets opened up/announced there is always mentions about how they aren't going to need to go to publix for subs (hoagies) anymore or that they can finally get a good sub in FL etc. It's not me making the comparison it's the WaWa people that are...... WaWa is fine for gas station food but any talk beyond that is just crazy.
