I haven't resigned myself to not being in contention for the AAC title.  I'm sadden that so many of you have.

Agree 1000%.

I think 10-2 wins the division next season.

We can win this conference but we have to fix the special teams issue. The offense will take a couple of steps back but we can should be able to be close to what the offense was under flowers. the defense will be better but the special teams is what concerns me the most. special teams cost us this year twice and nearly a few other games. We won't go anywhere until we fix the special teams problems.

Our schedule next year isn't much better than this year. We MIGHT play two ranked teams (UCF, UH), and don't get to play the other two. Hopefully we'll be undefeated, and see an also-undefeated Navy or Memphis in the CCG. Also hoping we get Temple early in the season instead of late in the snow. Guessing ECU will be homecoming?

2018 Schedule
Sept. 1     ELON     TAMPA
Sept. 8     GEORGIA TECH     TAMPA
Sept. 15     at Illinois     Champaign, Ill.
Oct. 6     at UMass     Amherst, Mass.

AMERICAN CONF. HOME     UCF, UConn, ECU, Tulane
AMERICAN CONF. AWAY     Cincinnati, Houston, Temple, Tulsa

AMERICAN CONF. NO PLAY     Memphis, Navy, SMU

IMO the offense will become more balanced, not necessarily take a step back overall.

People don't understand what happened to Fox. Fox just shed all it's dead weight. It will be a huge bidder in live sports content in the future. The fact that so many people have written them off will give them a few easy purchases and I believe that the American will be their first.

I see eight minimal wins in that group and with a few breaks a ten win season would not be out of the question.

Only losses I'd bet on is Houston and GT, Temple if it's late in the year. But if I had to put money on it this would be my win loss total. 9-3 and a bowl win. My reasoning for the losses are a second year Applewhite team in Houston and I'd give the advantage to GT because of their option running attack against our young front 7. Also give me .500 against UCF and Temple this year, UCF because we're at home and Temple will be tough on the road especially if it's late in the year.

I say we go undefeated and run the table. Why not, we're unbeaten in 2018 aren't we? :GoBulls:

In 2018 we'll still have the Bham Bowl vs SEC and the Military Bowl vs ACC, but we also have a few new bowl possibilities:

Gasparilla Bowl vs ACC

Armed Forces Bowl (Ft Worth) vs Big 12

New Orleans Bowl vs Sunbelt

Bahamas Bowl vs Conference USA

I could see them sending us to Gasparilla or Bahamas if we have a so so year (6-6 or 7-5).  Make sure your passports are up to date and start saving, the Bahamas Bowl ain't cheap.
