He wanted to give Texas a big middle finger by beating Texas Tech with his new team. Recall Texas lost to Texas Trch this year... embarrassing for them the guy they fired wins a game that his replacement loses.

I'd gladly welcome being middle of the road in a P5 conference instead of close to the top of the class in a G5 conference.

No question about that.

We were middle of the pack in the Big East, but I'd settle for that in the Big 12, over AAC champion.

we barely beat a 6-6 big 12 team. they finished 8th in their conference with a 3-6 record. we would be middle of the pack at best against p5 competition.

Yes and we'd get the P5 money doing it. We'd recruit even better and we'd be more competitive than the legacy dogs.

So would the Tampa area "fans" in all likelihood.

Our recruiting would sky rocket if we were a P5 school, so we wouldnt be middle of the pact too long. Hell i feel we can compete now. Our schedule may have been easy, but we are winning the games we are suppose to and our last 2 lossess was by a touch down.

That's why no one wants us in. Not sure why B12 blew that one though.

Mainly because we don't bring a fan base. No fans = no tix, no ads, no merch.

We have a good track record during the Big East era.  Not as much in the Thursday night vs Tulsa era.
