That's really to bad as Annapolis is a great town and with lots going on.  It doesn't compare to D.C. in the amount of activities of course.  Based on the events being in D.C. we will miss them, but will make the game.  Sucks, but it is what it is.

Go Bulls!

Yeah.  There are hotels designated for the AAC in both DC and Annapolis, but the team will be staying in DC because many events will take place there.  There will be bar/wine crawls in Annapolis the night before the game, and parade and tailgate in Annapolis morning of the game.  Outside of that, no official events in Annapolis that I've seen.

I don't particularly like that its disjointed like this, but (if we end up in this bowl) I'd be doing stuff in both DC and Annapolis anyway, so I chose to book with the team.

I booked a room there too - sounds like a plan.

Other than bar crawl I see no events in DC.

Isn't Baltimore closer than DC?

Yes, Baltimore (Inner Harbor) is only about 20 minutes.  Don't want to stray outside the Inner Harbor area as it's not a safe city.

Bar crawl is in Annapolis.  The team would have a bunch of events in DC that I, obviously, would not participate in.  The stuff I'd do in DC would not be related to the bowl game.

This is the bowl related stuff in DC from last year.

TEAM BOWL WEEK IN WASHINGTON, D.C.

Players, coaches and staff from the participating teams enjoy a variety of entertaining and engaging events during their stay in the nation’s capital. Past events have included:

  • Welcome receptions at the team hotels
  • Meet the Coaches VIP Kickoff reception
  • Visit to National Museum of African American History and Culture
  • US Capitol tours
  • Visit to iconic Ben’s Chili Bowl
  • Community visits to the Armed Forces Retirement Home and the VA Hospital
  • Joint team hypnotist event
  • Teams Luncheon
  • Mall & Monument tours
  • Wizards or Caps game at the Verizon Center

Ok thanks I was reading this wrong. I’ll make a decision of where I will stay once I see the formal announcement

It's good.

Just outside the Inner Harbor area of the city is brutal.

The inner harbor (specifically fells point) is awesome.  I go there for work often and have a great time.

The rest of Bodymore... meh
