Rates at the AAC team hotel are still reasonable considering the big city location.  It may go up after the announcement.  You can always cancel if we play elsewhere.

Nothing wrong with securing lodging in Annapolis either. Rates there are very reasonable and you can walk to the parade and the game.

This hotel is about 60 miles from Annapolis.

Is that really the AAC team hotel? It's hella far away.

The hotel has bus transportation to the game.

Sounds like the events will be in DC area instead of Annapolis.  Kind of sucks, although maybe we can arrange some stuff night before and right after the game in Annapolis.  Like most of us, we'll probably only be in the area for those two nights.

Why have all the festivities over an hour away?  No place in Annapolis for all the events.

Not much in terms of festivities as I all see is a bar crawl. Looks like  Annapolis is the way to go.

My guess is that they will do most of the team events in DC and then the night before the game both teams will be in Annapolis.  Maybe there will be battle of the bands or some other pep rally thing the night before the game in Annapolis.  The bowl website lists team hotels in DC and Annapolis, so this is the basis of my theory.  Hope we end up going there.  I think it could be a great couple of days.  I also think our fan base is 100% in on this game.  Might be the only game where our fan base actually travels (not counting St Pete or Boca).  Can't see us making a dent in the Birmingham Bowl again.  Shreveport vs FSU would be good for ticket sales, but I think Annapolis would be pretty good too.

Yeah.  There are hotels designated for the AAC in both DC and Annapolis, but the team will be staying in DC because many events will take place there.  There will be bar/wine crawls in Annapolis the night before the game, and parade and tailgate in Annapolis morning of the game.  Outside of that, no official events in Annapolis that I've seen.

I don't particularly like that its disjointed like this, but (if we end up in this bowl) I'd be doing stuff in both DC and Annapolis anyway, so I chose to book with the team.
