So we basically provide income replacement insurance for failed P5 coaches so they can coach USF until the stink evaporates and some desperate P5 program is ready to take a chance?

Feels dirty.

Well yes but if we keep recouping 2.5x of said coaches salaries via buy out it may just be worth it...

my guess is

Frost to UF

Strong to Arkansas

Cutcliffe to Tenn

Kiffin to whatever SEC team he can latch onto-- he wants back into the SEC imo)

lots of other spots to consider of course-- but those are ones that make sense...

and I would like to see Butch Davis to USF. Les Miles would be interesting as well-- but he might still be a little hot to handle.

just guesses -- no actual information

I'd like Les Miles ok but I think the community wouldn't go for a french coach. If he'd only change his name to The Miles.

Along with payday games, having payday coaches is a unique fiscal philosophy.

Let's do the math, so about 100 coach buyouts to an OCS at $2.5 mill per coach? Of course at best that's 100 years off so we probably don't earn fast enough.

if we lose strong (which I high doubt), I think we should look down the road at Butch Davis.

Biggest requirement to taking this job: being able to recruit Florida

Not sure about Butch...what about Manny Diaz? Or Larry Scott?

Personally none of the names be tossing around for us sound great.  Prefer a up and comming OC from a top p5 team that knows how to run the spread offense if we need to get a new HC.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
