Schools be desperate Charlie Strong keep looking better and better.  Taggart never won a bowl game and he is head man at Oregon.  Its gonna happen the only thing that might keep him here is the buyout is a bit high.  His buyout is 2.5 million to USF based on what was reported in Dec 2016.  We could afford a better youger coach than Strong if someone would take him.

I agree. Strong stinks still from Texas.

my guess is

Frost to UF

Strong to Arkansas

Cutcliffe to Tenn

Kiffin to whatever SEC team he can latch onto-- he wants back into the SEC imo)

lots of other spots to consider of course-- but those are ones that make sense...

and I would like to see Butch Davis to USF. Les Miles would be interesting as well-- but he might still be a little hot to handle.

just guesses -- no actual information

Oregon (if Taggart leaves)

Why would he leave?

agents use it as leverage to sweeten deals. I wouldn't doubt it if they float these rumors out there for people to ruminate on.

Then again-- he might take it if the right offer comes along.

If strong leaves we need to go for a young coordinator with a proven track record or if we hire an experienced coach it can only be les miles. If we hire miles he won’t stay here more than a few years but it would keep us relevant. Otherwise the young coordinator is the best route for us to go

So we basically provide income replacement insurance for failed P5 coaches so they can coach USF until the stink evaporates and some desperate P5 program is ready to take a chance?

Feels dirty.
