I'm hearing from a couple of my friends who work in athletics that it's clear Coach Strong doesn't like being here.  He sees it as a temporary position as he moves on to a "real" coaching job.

A big part of that is ignorance. 9 wins is the second best total in team history and we have 2-3 games to go. I know we all want more and better, but we shouldn't forget what we have.

As I wrote on the message board last week, I am a math tutor for FAU football players. Kiffin has completely turned around the football program and many students now wear FAU apparell. There is much excitement around the FAU campus about the Lane Train. Kiffin runs a very fast-paced no huddle offense. They have a very young team who will again win the C-USA east division title next year. If Charlie Strong leaves, I would very much want Kiffin to be our coach. However, I agree, he will only leave Owl Nation ( I know that is funny) for a power five conference not our beloved Bulls.

Who lost confidence in Strong faster?  UT or our fanbase?

SI article today mentions CCS being loved by his players. Texas players loved him and it was mentioned in pretty much every article written last year. I've personally talked to players and family who love him. But, we have this thread and people 100% certain he's lost the team after 1 loss.
