If it's because we're anticipated to be a top team and good for tv, then put us on as the away team.  There's 12 teams in the conference, 13 Thursday nights in the season, and we get 2 home games???

Took all 25 of the students in my accounting class on a "non-optional field trip" to the Senior Day basketball game this Spring to help make sure there were lots of students in the house.

Got in trouble for it too, but it was worth it.

Hopefully all the profs teaching Thursday night will cancel their classes for this...

I don't see any way this could happen. The athletic dept needs to take this time and look for  innovative ways to get people to this game. Many of these have already been discussed on this board.

I do believe we are getting the Thursday night national TV games because we are the best of the bad lot and will draw the most eyeballs. It's actually an honor in a backhanded way and gives us the paycheck and the tv exposure but does expose the empty stadium. I'd much rather be the visitor on Thursday as well.

One more thing about this game (and I'm really not trying to be a downer).  Last home game of the season usually draws visits from the bowls.  If we're undefeated, there will be reps from Peach and Cotton at this game.  That would be a huge OUCH.  GO BULLS!

We may be in Top 10 in country. I have to think at that point we can get over 25k actual even on a Thursday.

 

Regardless of attendance it's a late season opportunity to showcase our dominance to the country as the only game to watch.
