Raymond Woodie destroyed our defense.

Gilbert is doing the same to our offense.

Run up the middle to get to 3rd and long. And then kick field goals on 4th down. Yayyyyy.

Gilbert might struggle at times but Woodie was a complete disater as DC.

Gilbert called a good game vs Illinois so not sure why he changed it back to runs up middle.

We need more screens, jet sweeps and attack the wide open middle.

To be fair Flowers and receivers were really off.

Wasnt it you that said Temple would be a real test...

I am not ready to call Sterling Gilbert = Woodie.  Woodie never had success anywhere.    Sterling has been successful at multiple stops

Not gonna go that far and say Woodie=Gilbert, but I will say that Buzz>Woodie

Gilbert called a good game vs Illinois so not sure why he changed it back to runs up middle.  I've thought about this, and from other things I've read, Temple's defense is supposed to be fast.  Maybe, Gilbert felt that getting to the edges wouldn't be successful.  Say what you want, his offense did work.  We had two RBs go over 100 yards and our QB got over 50 yards.

We need more screens, jet sweeps and attack the wide open middle.  See above.

To be fair Flowers and receivers were really off.  <--  This, more than people want to admit.  Even Flowers' completions didn't look great.

This, all day.  Flowers definitely had an off night, assisted by some key drops by WRs.

That was CWT's fault. He wanted a friend to take over. Pretty sad as it cost a championship

Seriously, can you imagine this defense last season?

IMHO Gilbert is doing just fine. Sure his calls were vanilla yesterday but there was zero need for us to get crazy with the play calling. The game was never in jeopardy and we never really needed to throw the ball. Now if at some point this season we are tested and/or playing from behind and we're running the same plays I'll have some issues with that. For now though he's keeping things simple and manageable.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”
