We lost two of our three biggest weapons.  It has become apparent we have three good RBs on the roster.  The WRs have taken a little more time to figure out, not aided by Flowers being rusty.  The second half against Illinois we were close to firing on all cylinders.  I'm not real worried about the offense, and the defense is leaps and bounds better than last year.  So I don't think we need to be just as good on offense as we were last year.

I wouldn't mind seeing our Special Teams improve significantly, however.

This team showed what it can do Friday night now it's time to clean up all the mental error stuff (false starts, snapping the ball before people are set, protection break downs on special teams etc.).  Good teams are opportunistic and will make us pay for those mistakes.  If we can play relatively clean football this team can be down right scary.

A defense to go with our offense was all we asked for last year. The defense is at worst average. Who knew that special team would be the throat catcher. No one even looked at that squad as a potential hiccup potential.

I like the way the defense gets opportunities for turnovers now.  People seem to be in the right spots to make plays on the ball.

Special teams is kind of a debacle at this point, but hey it makes it interesting and terrifying each time!

We are not surprising worse in nation with 4 blocked kicks and 2 blocked punts.  Never a issue till we got this new special teams coach that was bad at Texas also.

In two of those games we had a combined total of 1230 yds of offense and 89 points .... Pretty much what you'd expect against "awful" teams, don't you think?
