I'm not sure if anyone posted about this, but LB Andre Polk will not play tonight and they are running tests on his knee to determine the extent of his injury. This is the thinnest position for USF. Behind the starters Sawtelle and Sanchez, we have two underwhelming juniors in Danny Thomas and Josh Black and a true freshman Kierston Johnson. If either Sawtelle or Sanchez have to leave the game due to injury tonight, we could be in trouble. Hopefully the defensive line continues to shine.

That sucks for Polk.  Hate to hear it.

Any word on how field conditions are looking for tonight?  That's my biggest concern regarding player health.

I'm sure the field will be fine for us. Ray Jay has really good drainage and, for years, was voted the best turf in the NFL. It will be worse for FAMU, and it might be a big problem for the Bucs come Sunday. 3 games in 3 days on saturated turf.....good luck grounds crew.

LBs on roster - Jimmy bayes, SAnchez, Sawtelle, D Thomas, Kierston JOhnson,  A Polk, Micario Stanley,  And if need be Josh Black, Brown V Jackson, and Reaves could play LB if we needed them to. I think we have som flexibility.

Should be fine there for this one.  Everyone will be fresh from two weeks between games.  Might be rusty, but they should be flying around!

Go Bulls!

I got mixed up with Black and Bayes. Also, I believe Stanley is 100% D-Line now. We are pretty thin at LB. We should be ok, but the drop off from the two deep (Sanchez, Sawtelle, Bayes, and Polk) is pretty substantial.

I would say, it probably can't be anymore ... many new stadiums have been built since Ray Jay - a lot of them have turf now but I'd be hard pressed to believe that it's still the best.

Also, even the best turf could be a bit rough less than a week after a hurricane plowed through the area.

Arizona's is #1, while Ray Jay is #2, based on this article:

Salomen isn't dressed tonight. I don't see any boot or sling. Hopefully it's nothing major. I wouldn't think he'd redshirt but who knows.
