Saw this in the TBT today

COLLEGES: The Pac-12 will shorten halftime to 15 minutes form 20 and cut back on commercial breaks during nonconference football games this year in a trial program to reduce game lengths.

Wanting shorter games?   I attempt to make my game day experience longer.

Could be wrong but I think the AAC plays a lot more games in strength sapping conditions than the Pac 12 does, in which case, you want all the time you can get for the athlete's to replenish from a health safety standpoint ...

Curious as to what you mean by this... Saying the AAC games are tougher on the players? I do agree to your second point, even without the first one. Lets give these kids as much time to rest as possible.

Also, I wonder how they're are going to do this when non conference games. I'm assuming this will only apply to conference games and all non-conference games are going to be  the standard 20 minute halves?

It's all about the humidity with games in Florida, Louisiana, Texas, etc compared to games in California, Washington, Oregon, etc ... Not a weather guy but just a thought.
