They have other writers to focus on UCF and the other Florida schools but JK was just at media days and had the chance to interview these guys. It makes sense to write an article as a reporter on a topic that you have deliberation on. Found no problem in it;  in fact, he's been writing and tweeting very positive things about USF all year going into this season. 

AAC Media Days was a spectacle in and of itself, I'm sure he has enough content for more articles if he so chooses.

This times 100. I have wanted to interact with him on Twitter, but seeing the way he reacts to any sort of questioning, it is clear that he cannot engage in a healthy discussion. His defensiveness, sarcasm, and snark are apparent. It would be easier to digest if he were actually funny/witty, but he is neither.

Thanks for saving me the click.  I have no interest in reading about UCF or Coach Frost, unless it's a post game "We got our aces kicked by USF...uncanny!"

I loved Auman as USF's beat writer, but he was far from snark free.

+1000. Auman was fine but Jesus that has been about four years since he left. As for JK, he does a good job covering the Bulls with multiple articles, never misses a presser, and does a complete video after ever game. Some of you should hear the ******** from Cincy and Tulsa fans about the nonexistent coverage they get.

I remember when we didn't even have a beat writer, and I would almost "get the vapors" any time ESPN would mention our school.
