Not sure of the specifics yet. Also, Joe Cavallaro signed with the Mets yesterday. So our bullpen officially takes a major hit as he had one year of eligibility left. I guess 24th round money was enough. Congrats to both. Still no word on Phoenix Sanders or Ryan Valdes signing yet.

The Mets must have had some extra money to sweeten the deal. The projected bonus for that pick is well below $100k. Maybe they are waiting to release them all at the same time like the A's did yesterday.

Odds of Cavallaro getting into the top 10 rounds next year would have been pretty slim so if he wanted any kind of bonus at all he would have had to sign now. Something is better than nothing i guess.

If they screwed him as a senior, legit screwed him, MLBPA would file a lawsuit on his behalf and it would cost the team 10x as much as a bonus. The only rounds that are slotted are the top ten. Max bonus after round 10 is $100k unless they want to dip into their bonus pool. If you are picked after the 10th round you are not guaranteed a bonus and seniors have no leverage at all.

Must not have been submitted until today since I saw the Merrell listing yesterday but no Tampa ones. But I was right about one thing Tampa waited and submitted all of their signings at the same time/date.
