A nice way of presenting a 24-60 series record.

Yeah that is embarrassing to be honest. Needs to be closer to 50/50

If we win tonight and the next 35 times it will be.

Currently, USF RPI is #23.

Beat UF and our RPI improves to #20.

Lose to UF and our RPI remains at #23.

Of course, that could change somewhat depending on how other teams do tonight.

So, a win would greatly improve our chances for hosting a regional. If that happened, USF would not have to face UF again in THEIR regional.

I want to beat the Gators, I really do. I just hope we don't gut the bullpen. A non-conference game is still the best time for extended rest late in the year.

Being on a Tuesday helps a ton. All BP arms should be all go on Friday unless someone has to pitch five innings or so.

Yeah that does help but it still seems like a game to let the starter get beat around a little, considering its late in the year, its sandwiched between two  conference series with another one following UCONN, and UCONN and UCF are both in the running for the top seed in the conference. I would rather just give the pen as much of the week to rest as possible.

"Freshman righty Garrett Milchin will make his second start Tuesday. He has appeared in 16 games primarily out of the bullpen, but has been highly effective. The frosh is 4-1 with a 1.85 ERA and has struck out 17 across 24.1 innings."

His first start against Ole Miss went badly.

From Gator Country Swamp Gas baseball message board:

milchin vs roberts. hopefully milchin rebounds from a very bad outing against ole piss on Sunday.

Huge game, hope Coach goes all out to win this. Screw the rotation, Gut the Gators!!!!!!!!

Treat this like a non conference week night game. We are currently leading the conference and the wins this weekend are much more important. I want the best arms for the weekend.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.
