They know he's gone the first year they win 8+ games, so they probably increased the buyout. The problem is: will he ever win 8+ there?

did they increase the salary as well? what would be the point for a coach to sign an extension that only increases the buyout?

They could win 8 next year with an OOC of Maine, GTech, Maryland, and FIU.

He got  a bump,( to 2 Mill annual I think) but this is a 100% no story. My guess, its a message to noob recruits, to say that he has a  contract through your 4 year tenure.
